Comprehensive Review of Psychology in Amity University, Noida

I applied to University of Delhi for the same program. I did get admission in Sri Aurobindo College but the infrastructure was below average. I chose Amity because it has amazinf infrastructure and student life along with exposure needed. The psychology department also is quite reputed. Hence I chose Amity over UoD. The eligibility criteria is 85 percent in 12th for Direct Admission. Below that, PI will be conducted to test the potential of the student. CUET is also accepted and 80-85 percent is required for Direct admission. PI will be conducted below the percentage below 80.

The curriculum is updated on recent developments and researches. Hence it prepares students for irl applications and academic pursuits easily. The exams are held at the end of semester and Internals are consisted of class tests which are conducted in the classes itself. The exams are easy but continuous often. For example, one day you'll have an exam and the next day you'll have an exam again which makes it a bit tiring but if you have devoted time to studies, its no big deal

The college provides LORs for Internship opportunities during the year-end summer break. The student are supposed to also write a secondary research paper, or a review paper, under the guidance of a faculty assigned. The students have to submit weekly progress report. Internship is offered after 2nd year and review paper is supposed to be done after 1st year.

The fees for 1st and 2nd semester was 92500. It increases 5000 for each year, ie 97500 for 3rd and 4th semester and 102500 for 5th and 6th semester. Scholarships are present at 50% and 100% at merit basis. If not fulfilled the criteria, it can be stripped away.

The Annual Youth Fest is amazing. Reputed artists like B Praak, Raftaar host their concerts in the AYF. The Freshers is also an amazing opportunity to socialise with other students and get to know each other. Clubs host many events and quizzes throughout the year and welcome students. The Annual Sports Event, Sangathan, is a big deal for every department and students give it their all to improve the reputation of the department and ultimately get better. The library has lots of journals and books for students to access and refer to. The classrooms are equipped with ACs and Projectors for students to have a better learning experience.

Faculties are quite approachable and friendly. Students can seek guidance related to curriculum and career along with personal life. Exams are easy if you devote time to studies and academics. There are 5-7 exams per semester. A few students find it difficult to clear the exams but more than 90% students clear the exam easily. The course curriculum is relevant and updated to new studies. The faculties that I find the best are Shubham Sir, Nikhil Sir, Akshita ma'am, Alok sir, Ranjana ma'am, Jyotika ma'am, Seema ma'am. These faculties come to the mind instantly. Other faculties too are very friendly and approachable. The faculties I mentioned are friendly and understanding.

No, I did not have any Interview or GD. My admission was based on 12th score and I acquired Direct Admission for the score achieved. I also achieved 50 percent scholarship for 1st year on both 12th score and CUET score. The CUET score also gave me a Direct Admission but I could avail only one option.
