Dislikes
- I don't they they guarantee any campus placement for this particular course. You need to find a job for yourself and create your own opportunity.
- The courses they offer for each sem are good but sometimes can be a little hectic.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very relevant. I chose this course too unlock vast future options and the curriculum supports it. The curriculum is designed comprehensively. Apart from the main chosen disciplinary courses, you also have some value addition course, a foreign business language and some vocational courses to choose from. The courses are practical and in line with what we can pursue as a career and it helps in clearing the entrance examination for you master's. Only suggestion is that it becomes a burden sometimes when handling all of these together otherwise it's good. Only end sem examination are there and there is enough time before and during the exams to prepare for them.
Fees and Financial Aid
I enrolled in the year 2023. At that time the fees for the first semester was 92500/- plus 20000 security totalling to 112500. And then for the second semester the fees was 92500 only. The fees increases 5k after every two semesters or per year. So the fees structure for 3rd and 4th semester is 97500/sem. The total course would cost around 8 lakh rupees plus other expenses( travelling and miscellaneous expenses). There is a scholarship availible both during the admission and after each years which are merit based. You need to be in top 1% students of your batch to avail the scholarship.
Campus Life
The Campus life at Amity is great. There is something for everyone. There are three major amity events in an year. The first is the Amity Youth Festival (AYF) which is around Feb-March. Then there is Sangathan ( Annual Sports Event ) which takes place around Aug to September and then There is University Freshers in October. Apart from that there are smaller department specific Programs which takes place all over the year. Talking about the clubs, there are both university level and block level clubs in each field for you to join. They are a great source for you to leave and impression on the college campus and create wonderful memories. Their are majority of sports like badminton, cricket, football, swimming, even shooting , table tennis etc. plenty of Cafes and Restraunts in the Campus and an Arcade and Gym for students. Every Building and Classroom is Air Conditioned and Clean. The library is a reader's heaven. You'll get everything you want and you'll not be disappointed.
Admission
I only applied to Amity University as for this course but it was the gurgaon campus at first. The gurgaon campus is far away and there is less connectivity to gurgaon from where I stay so I chose Amity Noida. I did not get into DU so I chose amity. There were other options like Galgotias, KR Mangalam and SGT University but comparing to Amity, the course, the reputation, the infrastructure and the faculty, all the peeps around me suggested Amity University Noida as the best option for Psychology. The admission process was simple. I filled the admission form. My boards percentage was above 80% so I got direct admission but If it had been below 80% then I would had to take an interview and then clear to get into Amity. They accept both the board result and CUET result. The admission process was very convenient and I did not had to visit the college before the orientation and start of the session. The whole process took only 2 days for me.
Faculty
This is the best thing I found about the college. The faculty is too good. They are very supportive and the experts of their field. The faculty to student ratio maybe around 1:30. They are very approachable and respond very swiftly. My favourite teachers include shubham sir, tanmay sir and Liza ma'am. Even out HOI ma'am is very cool and supportive. The exams are from medium to tough level and 90-95% students clear them. The course curriclum is very relevant and is in line to post graduate entrance examination syllabus.
