- the culture in vit is quite open minded you can find people from various backgrounds
- number of clubs present in vit, there is a club for every interest in here
- the main cultural event riviera which happens some time around february
Dislikes
- the academic pressure to be relevant and need to be 9 pointer
- the crowd vit is really really crowded you can feel overwhelmed at times
- the fees is too high for 5th category ofc
Course Curriculum Overview
the frequency of exams is we have two internal exams before final end sem paper first CAT paper is a closed book exam while the second CAT is an open book exam where you are allowed to take your notes and textbook inside but no photocopies
Internships Opportunities
internship opportunities start in 5th semester only people who don't have backlog can apply the people who get selected are usually people with high cgpa and there are multiple rounds of selection depending on each company
Placement Experience
stressful but they try to provide placements for maximum people recent years due to recession people have not received much high packages but everyone without backlog can opt to sit for placements they have specific placement prep in 3rd year
Fees and Financial Aid
yearly tuition fee for 5th category is almost 5 lakhs and there are scholarships for first graduate in family and star programs hostel fees is another 2 lakhs for star students they don't have any tuition fees
Campus Life
social life will be good for you as there are so many people and so many clubs for you to join clubs will keep you active and involved club work will always be there if you are active in it and good enough you can get board position
Hostel Facilities
i'm in apartment type hostel the most expensive one so far offered by vit 2 lakhs per academic year it's really clean and restrooms and rooms are cleaned everyday any plumbing or electrical work is immediately sorted out
Admission
for engineering courses you need to write VITEEE exam only if you are within 1 lakh ranking you can get seat in VELLORE AND CHENNAI campuses or else you will get in bhopal or AP eligibility to write the exam is ofc 50% in 12th math and science
Faculty
the marking scheme is on relative grading your grade at the end depends on your class average and how you have performed to it if you are above class average you get A or S if you go below it your grade will be accordingly faculty can't say much some are really good and some are really bad
