Course Curriculum Overview

4

There is lecture method used in class. Through digital means and a lot of CIA which are digital based. Scope for improvement is in practical application of the course. The curicullan overall is very relevant and similar to what you will find in most of the law schools and in its central campus.

Internships Opportunities

3

Placement and internship cell does provide till its limits opportunities. But internships are majorly secured by students own capability. I have secured all my three internships till now by my own means without any stipend.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year i took admission in was with the fees of 2.05 lakhs but then was increased in the subsequent years to almost 3 lakhs. There is no entry based scholarships available but merit in university and other college sponsered scholarships are available in campus.

Campus Life

4

There are almost 20 law committees and many other university level committees. There is always some or the other thing happening in the college due to diversity in courses. Numerous number of sports league happen in the college with special focus.

Admission

The admission process is simple a test and an interview is conducted. My first preference was national law universities but the university i was allotted was a tier 3 nlu. Because of which inpreferred the locational advantage the college provides, strictness and professionalism

Faculty

2.5

Course structure is same as of other NLU's. Majorly it is same but the BA subjects are quite boring. Sometimes it gets hectic due to lack of planning of proper student friendly syllabus. Faculties are of both types few are extremely academic and knowledgeable and others may lack in teaching techniquies. Only few atudents fail in exams. And the difficulty level is mid.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There has lot of visits like court visit, parliament visit, etc The curriculum provides a basic foundation of theoretical knowledge that is useful for understanding core concepts and for pursuing further academic studies, such as higher education or competitive examinations. It helps develop analytical thinking and subject awareness. There is significant scope for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should be updated regularly to include recent developments, practical modules, project-based learning, internships, workshops, and skill-enhancement courses.Examinations are conducted frequently in the form of internal assessments, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams, which sometimes creates academic pressure for students. The timing of exams is often closely packed, leaving limited time for proper preparation and revision. In terms of difficulty, the exams are generally of moderate level, though some subjects are challenging due to lengthy syllabi and conceptual depth.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

The college provide students with PDF lectures which focuses on personality development which includes confidence building, speaking and listening skills, etc. They also give tips for a better resume and how to give interview and prepare us for interviews by organising mock interviews. 5th year students are the focused students for the campus placement. Some students choose to be an advocate and others may prepare for higher studies and or prepare for judiciary and other civil services examinations. I personal preference to go for the one field which can open my ways for other field stoo.

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
