Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would like to givethe course curriculum a solid 8 out of 10. Almost every subject and topic is relevant to the course. Their are some subjects which I feel are irrelevant or maybe the working of that irrelevant such as taxation. It teaches about how does filing a tax file works in India and what are the deductions or exemptions we get from tax. I think it is not necessary because in future all of us will hire a CA or CS for this purpose and if someone says CAs also have to study tax to be a CA, a CA does not opt for BBA then. Everything will be computerised, then I don't feel the need to karn the format of calculating different problems.

Placement Experience

3

The campus placements are available in the college for 3rd year students (in BBA, B.COM, BCA etc.) and for 5th year students (in BA LLB, BBA LLB). For BBA course, top companies which have visited Christ, Delhi NCR are Deloite, KPMG, EY (Ernest & Young), Amazon, Accenture, ICICI Bank etc. For BBA the minimum package is 3.5L per annum, average goes to 5.5L or 6L per annum and highest common package ranges between 10-12L per annum. Almost 80% to 90% students get placed from the campus placements each year. I will be doing a 2 year job, and will be going to Melbourne for my higher studies in MiM course .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for BBA Hons. Course is 2,10,000 ? per year, along with a application form of ?2500. College does not offer any scholarships. Their are other fees as well, such as gym fee which is 1888 for 1 semester and 3200/- for a year. Apart from fees, college imposes heavy fine on different panelties like, when your attendance is below 85% their are different slabs. 1) 75% to 77% - 5000? 2) 77% to 80% - 3000? 3) 80% to 85% - 2000? It is mandatory for students to maintain a attendance of 85%.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at Christ is good if you work by the rules of Christ. The academic life of Christite is quite hectic with easily morning classes, attendance, extra classes, assignments, exams, money shortage etc etc. Their are some annual events as well in the campus such as chronos, which is a inter university sports event. Kala-Kriti which is a college art event. Blossoms is the biggest event of the college, it is inter department competition in which school of business and management, school of law, school of sciences and every other department compete with each other in different activities like dance, music, theatre, flash mobs etc. Library of Christ university gives a wide access to almost all kinds of books other than funny novels or story books or smuts. Everything you need to accell in your life will be available in one place.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are good here. In a hostel room, you get a single bed, an almirah, a study table, and an AC. The hostel I live in is Christ hall. The electricity is free here, students don't have to give any charge for electricity bill. Rooms are queit spacious. There is also a laundry service in this hostel. Unfortunately, their is no meals offered in the hostel, but they provide you with common induction stove, microwave, heating kettles to cook if you want to. It is all kept in the common area. Their is also a smart TV in hostel for students. The only problem of hostel is fine structure. If you leave your bio-metric attendance 1 timez you'll be charged ?100 and by mistake if you enter late in hostel, and I mean even if you are just 1 minute late, you'll be charged ?5000.

Admission

What distinguishes Christ University Delhi NCR is its structured academic approach, the character of the education offered and the focus on co-curricular activities. Adequate facilities and comprehensive syllabi are geared towards capacity building and critical analysis making learning practically oriented. In contrast, for Symbiosis who offers a more industry-integrated approach and DU with its large legacy and heterogeneous crowd, Christ narrows down the ratio of students per class for more individualized care. Moreover, due to the assurance of discipline, cultural events and placement opportunities, students yearning for an all-in-one educational experience will find the institution very appealing. Other than Christ, I applied in Symbiosis Noida and got a confirmation as well, but the confirmation came too late. Christ demanded to submit the fee before the confirmation from Symbiosis came. I got rejection from IIM Rohtak because of the low rank I got, I think the study I did was not enough to get me into IIM. After giving entrance exam for Christ university, I was selected for PI round (at that time it was online, but now it is offline). After getting selected in PI round I got the offer letter and link to submit the fee. I submitted the fees and after a month the academic year begin.

Faculty

4

The teacher to student ratio is 1:20. Their is 1 teacher for every 20 students. Teachers are approachable easily and helpful when it confess to academic help. I cannot take names of the faculties I liked and I didnt, and it should be obvious why. But their is a teacher that's my favourite because of her motherlike nature, she is very friendly, supportive and informative. Helps you in every aspect, may it be academic problem or your personal life problem. And then their is a Sir, who I don't like at all as he do not support children, always enter the class in angry mood, scolds you whenever you ask him to repeat or teach a topic again because you didn't understand. He is not available to reach or to talk for any kind of help.

Interview Experience

4

Their was an CBT entrance exam for admission and after that PI (personal interview) round. I got the topic "is war a solution of any conflict?" At my time of PI. I was preparing for IIM, and the syllabus fir IIM and Christ university is the same, the only difference is the difficulty level for both colleges. Other than entrance exam and Personal interview, their is no way to get admission in Christ university, Delhi NCR campus.

Night Life

5

Nightlife around the Christ is best thing here, all the students roam on roads in the society, friends having fun, couples roaming here and there, people getting out just to get chai (tea). Inside of campus, there is gym you can spend time in, get your muscles pumped, then their is cafeteria which offers different cuisines like, parantha to dosa, dosa, to waffles. Other than cafeteria their is Coffee cafe day (CCD), Domino's and gianis in the campus. Campus opens at 6AM in the morning till 9:15PM in night and hostel timings are 6AM in morning to 10PM at night. The society is safe to roam around at night for both boys and girls, everyone here likes to live in harmony. For the safety their is a police checkpost as well in the society. Further a hospital is also present in society.

Placement Experience:

The placement record for the college is average. As far as I know most students gets placed with high or low package as per their capabilities. There is a platform called superset on which students regularly gets information about job vacancies within companies and easily apply through it. There is Career Development Centre that have a bunch of career mentor who personally guide students about their career opportunities. I am personally not planning to do job after completing my degree. I would persue government job and therefore would like to prepare fro competitive exams like Union Public Service Commission.

Our college placement cell is very good. This workshop really groomed us in every possible way. The students who are interested in startups or higher studies are given proper guidance.
