Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum are well advanced. They also includes practical learning in it for all science field and for arts we use to have subject related survey to conduct. This ensures public interaction and real life learning. Field trips are made. In 6 months of a semester 2 written exams would be conducted on 2 months gap in it. Practical projects are made.

Internships Opportunities

5

We have Multi-resource foundation in our college were lot of companies has collaborated. We are given internship through it. We can also give our innovative ideas and those are submitted as theory and its funded by companies and made into action. We're given credit to it. Mcc also has Fashion studio in it. Which teaches and provide job in it, by taking orders. Also has continuing education that provide technical education in form of degree and jobs are created through it and lot had got jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I'm Archaeology and Museology student I would pay a lot more fees than others as 80,000 in 1st year, 70,000 in 2nd year and 50,000 in 3rd year. But regular history would pay 25,000 in 1st year, 15,000 i 2nd year and 4,000 in 3rd year. Our college has 2 shifts as Aided and Self finance. We would be having different fee structures as aided would have low fees and SFS would have high fee around 80,000 to 90,000 per year and fees for SFS could be paid in 2 payments. Scholarships are available for all categories. And food supports were also given by college as 1 free meal a day.

Campus Life

5

Deepwoods is the annual fest conducted and apart from that we have department fest and 6 hall fest and 3 club fest. Freshman, farewell, onam, diwali, pongal, Christmas are celebrated in both departments and as a whole college event. Apart from this we have lectures of 5 to 6 from each departments. 2 story library with common books and separate department library and an archive in it. Has 4 computer labs and separate labs for all science departments. Main importance is given to sports and we have a lot of sports person with special attendance and mark negotiations. We have students Union society where election is conducted every year and leaders are selected by students.

Admission

I applied and selected in LPU. But i chose this because of the near location and I dreamed to study Archaeology and this is the only college had Archaeology for UG. Admission procedure are online based amd have to come in person for verification if we are selected. Mail would be received from college for selection. For general category 95% is required and sc st has some negotiation.

Faculty

5

Most of the faculties would be the product of Mcc. That's the best thing about it as they would understand the students easily and we won't be much strict. Deepika is my favorite faculty as she's only Archaeology professor. She has best experience in our field and she teaches very well. We use to have field trips and tour in last year. We have 3 internal exams, as 1st amd 3rd exam would be written one with 2 units each and 2nd is project with 1 unit. Internal would be conducted for 50 marks each and best of 2 would be selected and that total would be converted to 50 marks. And semester is conducted for 100 and its converted to 50 and total is made for 100. Mostly everyone are made to pass and few are eliminated. Sports studens would have extra 1 opportunity.

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Average Students participate in the placement process by securing offers, depending on the batch. Over the past few years, our college has an increasing number of offers made, I thank our college for growing reputation and industry ties. The Average salary package ranges from rupees 3-5 lac per annum with most students being placed in roles such as Travel Consultants, Tourism Managers and Event Planners. My Future Plans: If I don't secure a placement through campus recruitment, I Plan to focus on building my career through internships and freelancing. I am particularly interested in sustainable tourism and may look for opportunities in eco-tourism companies and tourism boards. Additionally, I'm considering pursuing further studies, such as a Master's in Tourism Management or certifications in Digital Marketing for the Travel industry, to enhance my skill set and broaden my career prospects. The strong foundation from my Sindhi College will provide me with the flexibility to pursue various career paths, whether in corporate roles or starting my own venture in Tourism sector. Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
