Course Curriculum of BA Economics Honours at AMU is good basically economics in itself is a very good courses and if you will pursue this course from AMU with such a great faculties this will definitely enhance your knowledge in economics.On the other hand economics is very tough course if you are not paying attention.

Internships Opportunities

Basically in BA Economics hons,it is quite difficult to get internship and placement.After completing your BA Economics hons you can go for masters and there you will get good internship,placement and packages

Placement Experience

After doing BA Economics hons you can go masters and after masters you will get good package if you are doing it from a well reputed university.Another thing after doing hons you can also go for government jobs but for that you have to crack entrance exam but the possibility of getting job in government sector is very low.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of BA Economics Honours (AMU) first year is 11370 including hostel fees and all the charges this fees structure is same for all categories students. In second year it will decrease from 11370 to 8000 approx including hostel fees

Firstly there is a delay in hostel room allotment 80%students get hostel room allotment in second year,Another thingh is the meal it average not good not bad but the fees of hostel and meal is affordable,you can easily afford the hostel fees and meal charges

Admission

If you want to get addmission in BA Economics hons in AMU you have to crack a entrance exam that held by AMU the entrance exam is neither easy nor tough. Other question that why I chooses this university over other, this is the best university for middle class or poor class family with very low fees and very good quality of education.

Faculty

The faculty members are very cooperative.1 semester consist total 100 marks paper, 30 marks through mid sem or sessional and 70 marks through semester exam.The exams neither easy nor tough if you are giving your 100%

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course structure was well designed and updated with the ongoing preparations of government exams which helped me alot in my preparations as everywhere polity is something that is a mandatory one and hence the curriculum plus the overall teaching pattern the timing of exams and the level of difficulty was moderate if someone had attended all the classes, plus the marking scheme was a bit hard and other aspects like attendance was also included, however there's no such compulsion that one must attend the classes this was only applicable for sessionals

Economics Honours at Amity University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.
