Likes

I liked the atmosphere of the college. It has a huge campus consisting of botanical gardens, sports grounds, halls, canteen, recreational halls which makes the whole experience very soothing.
There are placement opportunities from companies like TCS, DELOITTE , BLUE PINEAPPLE,etc which is essential for my professional growth.

Dislikes

The canteen food can be better, it is affordable but it can be better.
Fests are not held as regularly as some other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is autonomous which means that the curriculum is updated according to industrial needs. I feel like the compulsory CO-CURRICULAR activities is a mild inconvenience. I chose this course because of it`s autonomous nature.

Internships Opportunities

There`s an internship names "EARN & LEARN" scheme which provides opportunity for students to learn as well as gain practical experience. Besides there are also online internship programmes being offered through the college.

Placement Experience

There are several placement opportunities in the college , companies like TCS, DELOITTE,etc recruit from this college. Around 40-50% students get placed as some pursue other studies. The highest package is around 10 lakhs while average is 3.5 lakh.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee for OPEN CATEGORY is 68,688 for first year. There is fee concession for some reservations but it doesn`t apply to me. Other categories fees is around 30,000. This courses in non-grantable course.

Campus Life

Two fests are orgnaized. One of them at the end of the year where each department has their own fest. For computer science department, the fest is called "BITS & BYTES". There are organisations like NSS,NCC, and other curricular activities whcih help in improving social life.

Admission

I got a call from nowrosjee wadia college but I waited for other options because of its limited opportunities. Then I got into Fergusson through Merit based admission and it is one of the best colleges so other colleges didn`t really stand a chance. I wasn`t rejected, I chose to go to this college

Faculty

The faculty of the college are well qualified. The exam are divided into CE-1 and CE-2 for subjects including internal assessment. For major subjects like Computer science and minor subjects like maths and electronics, there`s a practical and theory exam.

Fergusson College Review

The cutoff for BSc drops till 70% which enables many students to avail the courses.
