Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Assignments and internships every semester are mandatory as a curriculum, let's check their real-world relevance. let me tell this before hand that the biggest tool of the good lawyer is the effective legal research they can offer and assignments require this from you. You are supposed to present new edges of the subjects and your possible contribution for the same which helps students in future be it in advocacy, judgeship or educator.

The other part is of internships, which in other words is real-world law interactions in courts, law chambers, firms and tribunals. What else can be relevant if not internships? Other than this workshops, legal aids, webinars and other guest lectures are frequently conducted keeping students in touch with their respective inspirations.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Well, its mandatory to do an internship for one month every semester for the students, however, its the choice of the student to choose where exactly they want to intern. Not to mention that placement cell work on it to make available better opportunities as much as possible but it's still at the hands and efforts of the students. Some students even manage to intern abroad with MNCs, UN offices and so on. To conclude its intent and effort of students where they want to land.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is a special placement cell operating and university which updates students about all the placement opportunities. Not to mention they also call law firms insite for the placements. Other than this they also help students to get best internship opportunities PAN India. Many students have secured placement is their desired and reputed firms with handsome packages. However, many of law students also intend to go for judiciary as their career choice hence placement cells don't have much role to play in that respect. In addition to this healthy number of people are passionate about advocacy which again is very good career option probably the hefty income of all if they get an established image and skill.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure for an academic year on average is 2,75,000/- which includes the expense of hostel fee, tuition fee, moot court fee, printed material, sports facility, co-curricular, fest celebration, gym and all other resources of a university, however, it does not include mess fee. Every year the fee increases by approximately 10%. Not to mention that a security fee about of rs. 25,000 is returned in the end of the session. This fee, however, also includes the yearly subscription to 13 to 15 legal databases which are quite expensive in itself and requisite to have command over legal research and profession in general. Now coming to the part of scholarship and financial aid provided to students, yes certainly students can apply for the same under schemes runned by the government and if the student fulfils the required criteria as per the merit or income slabs, then they can avail it.

Campus Life

4.5

Well, the campus is a full-fledged combination of studies and fun with various clubs of students formed for different things making students occupied with enriching experiences. there is an annual fest which takes place around in March - April depending on the academic calendar. A sports event almost for a week preferably in Nov - Dec. Moreoever, their are countless activities going on which are impossible to discuss here. Library is all updated online wherein you can check all the books, new arrivals, remote access of legal databasis, plagarism checker software and many more. Classes have projector facilities, ACs, enough accommodating space and all other required amenities.

Hostel Facilities

5

hostel fee is included in the academic fee you pay. Its mandatory for the students to take hostel unless you are a local. One room accommodates 2 students, with almirahs, table chairs, bed, fans, coolers, clothes stands, and doormats. And if you are lucky to get a VIP room you will get an attached washroom along with it. Your rooms get cleaned daily by the workers, laundry room with washing machines is available. Lawns, a volleyball court, table tennis room for recreation is available. Mess is within the hostel premises. Not to mention if one wants to opt out of the mess they can avail the tiffin services which deliver the food at your convenience.

Admission

Well, National Law Universities have their own charm in terms of Law professionals. One, it adds to your CV a good impression for placements and internships, second, the quality education they provide as per the updated requirements of the field, third, it gives you confidence and a better crowd to be surrounded with. However, I always wanted to get into an NLU and appeared for CLAT henceforth. One can go to other state universities but i personally have witnessed them being trapped in traditional laws and primitive methods of education. English is mandatory in SC and HCs, and NLUs give that environment to uplift for linguistic skills as law professionals.

Faculty

4.5

Well, I personally liked the faculty so much because of their friendly nature and their being very approachable. One can be connected with them via emails and one to one talk they respond very positively. This approachability is also because of the reason that they are quite young and very updated which makes them relatable with students. Well, the semester system is followed by the university wherein one semester consists of mid term exams, end term exams and assignments for each subject with plagiarism reports. Well marking scheme of the same is obviously on the basis of quality answers you provide in answer sheets.
