- I hate the principal, who aims to stop all the funs of students.
- The management gets influenced by other colleges and started to stop events followed for years
- Management also interrupts in the college traditions that is been followed for more than 85 years
Course Curriculum Overview
The Portion which we study is based on the Madras University. MCC is an Autonomous college but still we follow Madras University's Syllabus. We have semester exam and 3 internals . 1&3 rd internals are theory based and 2nd one is project / seminars / assingnment based.
Internships Opportunities
Usually our department students goes to BIG 4 for internships. We basically go for internships without getting stipend because we want to learn now and not to earn. But still some of my friends earned around 60000 after going to internship.
Placement Experience
From 5 semester students start attending placements. College also provides placement training to students from their 3 semester. Campus placement is provided from BIG 4 companies. Average salary is 12LPA. Highest can be anything based on the student's skill.
Fees and Financial Aid
I will be paying fees for each semester that is 40000 for the 1st semester and it will be reducing in the next semesters. There is no fees like tution or lab , only fees you have to pay is the semester fees Yes the college provide financial aid to Students. There are some teachers who help students in paying fees.
Campus Life
MADRAS CHRISTIAN C0LLEGE is literally a heaven. It is huge 365 acres campus. The college cultural event is Called DEEPWOODS. Its the oldest college culturals in ASIA. MADRAS CHRISTIAN C0LLEGE is known for it's events. Every day there will be a event happening in the college. MCC's Library is called the MILLER MEMORIAL LIBRARY with lakhs of books. And also lakhs of EBOOKS.
Hostel Facilities
Madras Christian College have Halls ( Hostel). It's easy to get College admission but getting Hall admission you have to be luckiest person in the world. Madras Christian College have 6 halls. three for boys and 3 for girls. Hall Fees is 46000 per year. Mess fees will be charged based on how much we eat.
Admission
I applied to top colleges in Tamilnadu and Karnataka. I applied in VIT , PSGCAS , LOYOLA COLLEGE , CHRIST UNIVERSITY, MANIPAL UNIVERSITY, GRD COLLEGE I got all these college but still i chose MADRAS CHRISTIAN C0LLEGE , because it's known for it's Standard , Events , The name MCC is a Pride.
Faculty
My department , some young male professors are very cool and they have a friendly vibe with us. There are also old staffs working for 30+ years thinking they are the Godfathers of mcc. They don't even smile, always having a terror face. They expect students to come behind them as a dog to get a signature. Lady lecturers are humble and friendly.
