My Experience being a Law Student.

The course curriculum is rather boring for me. Since most of the times when I reach classes, I usually feel drowsy and fall asleep. Most of the faculties just make us keep writing all the stuffs. The patterns become repetitive sometimes.

The internship opportunities that the college provides are good. They ask us to fill a form and upon filling they provide us with every informations for the internship, that where is the location, how to contact them and the date of initiation.

The placements of my college are below average for Law students. Its only 3lakh per annum on an average. The placement opportunities for the other streams are better, taking into consideration the BCA and MBA placements, they are above 10Lakh per annum on an average.

The fees I need to pay as a non domicile is Rs 65k but after applying scholarship based on 12th Percentage merit, I get a scholarship amount of 15k Rs. The college also further provides scholarship based on CGPA to the excelled students. I was awarded CGPA scholarship once of 13.5k Rs. Most of the Students have to pay the fees of 65k Rs.

The campus life is very dull. There are only events related to subjects and studies. The college doesn't motivate students to participate in events which are not related to their courses. There is a lack of big campus area. The options for sports are less. The availability of books in library is good. There is a dedicated library for the Law Students.

The hostel facilities were good initially. But with the passing time, it degraded. The mess was very bad, used to treat us like slaves. 3 of our Wardens left the hostel within a time period of 2 months and finally the cook became the warden on his own. There were fights with us. In short we were treated very badly.

The took this college because I couldn't clear CLAT. Further I wanted to leave the city areas and its hustle. Upon some research, I got to know about this college and its location. So I applied for it.

The faculty to student ratio is nice. Sometimes the faculties are polite and sometimes they behave negatively. The Dean is sometimes selfish is nature and doesn't think about the students at all. Being in my third year of law, Im fed up of my college.
