Likes
- The college has multiple clubs for skills like dancing, singing, acting, social work etc.Tese clubs are very beneficial for the students as makes them interactive as well as increases their skills and communication.
- The college also organises several trips and also organises a 3-day fest called KARVAAN.
- The teachers are extremely friendly with the students. They are supportive as well.
Dislikes
- Placements can be improved but this year a placement cell has been developed.
- Wifi speed should be improved in the college premises.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is amazing and has very relevant topics. The subjects keep changing every semester to ensure learning of all the aspects of the management field. The curriculum involves practical questions and case studies to ensure better understanding of the field.
Placement Experience
Internships are available for all the students whether it's 1st year or any other. The highest package was I guess 7L p.a. and the lowest was 4L p.a. but from this year placements will be better as a placement cell has been developed called CATALYSTRA. My plan after getting the degree is MBA
Fees and Financial Aid
In 1st year paid 45k. This year it was supposed to be 38k but the fees has increased by 6k so this year paid 44k. Apart from this we need to give 3200 rs. Per semester as examination fees. Last year it was 2700 but it increases year by year.
Campus Life
A 3-days annual fest is organised called KARVAAN. Apart from this numerous orientations and events are organised in the college premises. Fir example last a very successful event was organised by the Business Management Society called CHRONICLES. There is a large number books in the library. Some classrooms also have AC. The sports ground is very big and the college offers a good number of sports and games like cricket, basketball etc . The best thing about the college is the clubs. There are numerous clubs for skills like dancing, singing, acting, photography, management, placements, Bhangra, social work etc . Apart from this the college also has NSS and NCC.
Admission
I didn't particularly applied for any other colleges. I gave CUET but couldn't clear it. I applied for this college on the DHE site where all the colleges under panjab university are listed but my first priority was DAV. Talking about the admission process, we have to fill a form on the DHE site then according to our percentage in class 12, 2 or 3 provisional lists are declared. If our name comes in the lists then the admission is confirmed otherwise we can go to the campus for offline admissions . But the admission will be done only on the basis of cut off .
Faculty
The faculties are good and approachable. They help us in a very nice way whenever required. Talking about exams, there is 1 final exam per semester and 1 mid semester test per semester. So for a course of 3 years duration, there will be 6 final exams and 6 MSTs. Passing the exams depends totally upon the students. If they do not study they'll perform bad but if they work hard and take them seriously it's very easy to score good.
