Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose btech cse because i had the enthusiasm for computers and gaming. So when I researched for it i got to kbow about this field. In first year we don't study about computers but till know the course is going good and since the specialisation is hard so we get no time in college the way college life is oftentimes referred. We have classes from 9-5 and a hour of break and many of my seniors told me that form next year either you won't have lunch break or you will be called Saturdays too. Which is too much hectic according to me

Internships Opportunities

3

There are no such internships in first year and there are third parties internship programs running in University, but since there is no official internship from the University side and first year of the University, keep telling the students that not to get into internship and all in first year as first day, first year is crucial for students, so they said they have no responsibility if you sign up for internship in the first year

Fees and Financial Aid

I study in B.Tech Cse in data science and artificial intelligence. Which has the highest fees of all the courses. Which is 3 lakhs per month. The course duration is 4 years which is 12 lakh overall other fee includes lab fee sports and library fee, lab fee, annual fee, exam fee and hostel fee if you opt for hostel. Which is around 2 lakh per year. Scholarships are based on board's percentage, cuet percentile, jee percentile, their own exams on srmjee and srmhcat ranks. They provide upto 100% scholarship. You can get scholarships through haryana domicile too. Around 25% and other fee in other courses like b tech me has fee around 2 lakh per year . Core has a fee of 2.5 lakh per year.

Campus Life

4.5

There are a number of societies in a university such as dance, drama, fashion, music, literature, gaming, web development, and many more societies in our university, but and we can go and audition them and get in the societies And on books and journals, there is University library from where we can get any book and issue it, showing our ID cards There is a projector and a screen to control it in every classroom. Any teacher can start the projector and show the content teachers on whiteboard. We also get a number of sports to play University, such as cricket, football table, tennis, basketball in volleyball, you can get into the team of University also by trials There is a student portal of the University where we can track. Our progress our attendance timetable, everything and we also get exams results on the universities student portal too

Admission

I applied in a number of colleges like maharaja agrasain institute of technology, Chandigarh university, vellore institute of technology. But i chose srm because it was closest to my house and in mait j did not get cse and i inly wanted to purse cse which led me to opt for srm. The eligibility criteria is minimum 50% number in pcm in class 12th and exams accepted are cuet jee srmee and srmchat. Exam most preferred by students was cuet as it gave scholarships to students the cutoff was around 85 percentile for scholarships and the admission experience overall was good and the staff was also very helpful and the administration department was also good and gave a overview of the entire university. Later we got entire tour of the university. The labs and they were good

Faculty

5

There is a class of 60 students and there are almost 6 subjects in total in each semester and lab separately. 6 subjects and 5 labs. Subjects are engineering physics. Engineering mathematics basic electrical engineering, engineering mechanics, german/french, communicative english. We have all the teachers which are good in there respective subjects and i like rakesh dubey sir a lot due to there teaching methods. There are two exams in each semester, mst and end semester. Mst is a total of 40 number and end semester is of 60 number. Also there are internal number also based on class performance quiz and assignments which has total of 40 marks if any student fail to get 50% bumber in internals, he/she will not be able to sit in end sem.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I did not opt for vit because it was way to far away from my home and i am not that comfortable to go that far. The fees is also too high as compared to here

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.
