Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is also modernising slowly. But based on old course structure, there is very less things about the technical and the 1st year has all the boring subjects Maths, chemistry, physics which have no significance in our development. The exams timing are not bad, after every one or one and half month there will be mid semester test and in the last of semester there will be final examinations before them tere will be preparation leaves also which are very helpful. Overall there is a need of change in the course curriculum and the teaching sense will also be according to the modernising tech industry.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are also given according to your overall performance during the whole course and it can be paid or unpaid, internships will we started in the 3rd year of your course and for the law courses the internships Will be provided in every 4 months for practicing and experiences. XPERI, TCS, CISCO, and many more companies provides internship

Placement Experience

3

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Fees and Financial Aid

As a student of Btech(AI&DS) in CGC Jhanjeri, I want to share some information about the fees structure: My registration fees was 11000 in which 3000 goes to college & rest 8000 added to your 1st semester fees. 1st semester fees is 68562 and after that 65000 each semester. I am a hosteller & have a 3 seater room whose charges is 120000 per year. And 2 seater room charges 130000 per year 4 seater charges 110000 per year 5 seater charges 100000 per year And if you want AC rooms then 25000 extra charge. College uniform cost you 3500 which is necessary to buy only from college. College also provide a scholarship on tution fees by taking a scholarship test which is a very normal test, my various friends and classmates have this scholarship. And one of my friend is doing BSC (cyber security) whose tution fees is 42600 per semester.

Campus Life

4.5

College also focus on the overall development of the students by providing them various opportunities in every field like sports, theater, anchoring, singing, dancing, modelling, and also support their startup ideas All the clubs and groups are run by the students under the caring of the authority and the clubs experience is very amazing as they have plenty of events for showcase their talent like The college has various events like the freshers party which held in August after that tech fest which held in October after that new year party and then Basant mela and then teej mela and also have various DJ nights and little events also. The library is also fantastic as it have a plenty of books of each subject and it is opened till late night for the students and also have some teachers to help you.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel registration is very simple just to select during the registration and submit the hostel fees Hostel infrastructure is also very good and have a good furniture. In the room there will be plenty of lightning and fresh air, every room has it's balcony. And each student get it's personal almirah and a bed and space for study. The quality of food provided by the mess is good not bad and the menu is set according to the everyone taste and choice and there is a special hostel comitte for the mess problems. If anyone want to rented a room or pg then it is also easily available in the radius of 1 kilometer.

Admission

I also appeared in CUET and can't scored good marks so can't apply for government universities, and after various months of comparison among the colleges I decided to get into this as under my budget it is the best in every thing like placement, location, area, and also suggested by others. The admission process is very simple just do the registration by submitting some documents and fees and on the time of joining submit the rest fees. The college has no entrance exam just gave the admission on the 12th class percentage scored if you want the scholarship then you hav to give the exam. As for the admission in Btech CSE, 12th class percentage should be more than 77. And this criteria changes for every branch and courses also

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very amazing and have a very supportive nature. And available all the time for the students. The faculty to students ratio is also good as the every block has its own faculty which helps in smoothly running system I liked the Dean sir ( Sachin Kumar) very much as they support the students very much specially freshers. And I dislike my English teacher(Ramanjeet kaur) as she is not serious about her subject and our studies The course curriculum is also continously improving and goal oriented and focusing on overall development of the student. There will be 2 Mid semester test and final paper in the end of semester, mid semester test is of 24 marks of every main subject and the final exam is of 60 marks of each subject and 40 marks internals which includes 24 marks from mid semester test, 6 marks of attendance, 10 marks assignment and our performance.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
