Course Curriculum Overview

4

If you are interested in commerce, particularly HR, accountancy, marketing or finance, i would say B.COMM Honours is one of the best courses to opt. It has good quantitative subjects that will help you gaining skills which you can apply in the corporate world. Especially in JIMS Kalkaji, you have the opportunity to learn a lot in ur respective feild

Internships Opportunities

1

Colleges provide internships between the period of 2nd and 3rd year, but they are very limited. Only 1/4th of the students recieve them and they arent the best learning experiences. Most of them are sales and maybe a few of them are HR

Placement Experience

2.5

I am in 3rd year and still havent gone through the placement sessions yet. But according to seniors, our college only provides placements around 3 lakh per annum. But that is what is usually expected from a bachelor's program placement

Fees and Financial Aid

First year the fees was 88,000, the second year was 1,20,000 and the third will be 1,00,000. So the average fees is around 1,00,000. But this changes batch to batch. The 2024 batch's fees has been increased. Im a third year student and our fees wasnt the same as the new fresher's batch

Campus Life

4.5

There are many festivals held in the college campus around the year. Since its a small college and there arent a huge amount of students, everybody knows everybody and the college festivals are even more wholesome. There are all types of societies and they are all fun, except for the politics that goes on sometimes, but thats a given i guess

Admission

I have been to 2 colleges before JIMS Kalkaji, on of them was a private college and the other was also an IPU college, but both were lower in rank, compared to JIMS. JIMS Kalkaji is considered one of the best colleges for B.COMM Honours in IPU as it is a teir 2 college

Faculty

4.5

Faculty to student ratio is good. I would say 80% of the faculty is excellent and would make you love the subjects that they teach. There is only one internal exam, which is the class test, but assignments and attemdance matter when it comes to total internal scores

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

As I am 1st year student i don't know much about it but most probably placement starts in third year. Well known companies reach out to our college for placement. Avg package would be around 6-7 lpa. 80% of our students easily get placed. My plan is to open a business in my upcoming future.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was studying, students were doubling down to study Software engineering, no matter which stream they belong too. But now, Electronics and Communication has become an important area to study as it holds promosing carreer options in the age of AI where we need Chips and hardware design, server management. People in mechanical engineering can excel if they focus on building something rather than just studying. In order to prepare for real world applications, one has to do a lot of things rather than sticking to only one persuit. I don't have much to suggest something in course carriculam and this college has best teaching methods regardless what they are taught. Students have ample time to do things they like in every semister. Studying for nearly 2 weeks before sessional exams and 1 month before final exams is enough and rest of the time can be dedicated into building something important.
