What Students Say
Likes
- Infrastructure - The infrastructure of college is quite well structured and balanced.
- The faculties there are so much supportive and well experienced, they all have at least 10 years of experience in there respective fields.
- Extra curricular activities- college make us involved in many extra curricular activities like say, volleyball, chess, workshop, seminars and webinar etc.
Dislikes
- There is only one lift in the whole college, which is allowed only for the staffs not for students.
- There some sort of biasness over b.tech and MBA as the college is established engineering college.
- The faculties of btech have bigger role in making and implementing the plans and policies because of number game.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good enough however it can be improved by making more practical applications rather than theoretical. As an MBA student, I would like to do more industrial visits, more GD sessions(once or twice a week), presentation etc. It does provide us with real world applications or further academic pursuits although the world evolving rapidly which make it bit difficult to carry forward the same curriculum for ages.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is same as the final placements, as they also have some sort of selection criteria like, 10th,12th, graduation percentage. Companies like Swiggy, delhivery, Abp news, etc offer internship where they taught us interpersonal skills and intellect. Projects are given to us every semester which are correlated to our curriculum. Internship can be online or offline both depends on classes. If classes are running then the internship will be in online mode or vice versa.
Placement Experience
From the final year of their studies, students become eligible for campus placement. The companies like : Benepik, Bajaj finserv, PNB housing, Varun beverages, Airtel telecommunications, etc. The highest package is about 50-60 LPA and average is 5-6 LPA. The percentage criteria varies to companies as some asked for 75% throughout, some say 65%,60%. It's completely depends on company. After getting the degree the first and foremost plan is to being placed in any organisation where I learned new skills and knowledge rather than going for high package.
Fees and Financial Aid
It will total cost me around 300000 for 2 years degree of master's in business administration. Let me break down the complete fee structure; 1. Course fee- 120000 per annum( including library, industrial visits and other facilities) 2. Transportation fee - 22000 per annum 3. One time registration - 2500 PA 4. One time University fee - 7500 PA.
Campus Life
The over all experience is good however the schedule is little hectic because we used to invest almost 10 hours a day when we have to attend college. Yeah, college organised fest, events at regular basis. The annual fest " TOONAV " held at the end of academic calendar. And other events depends on festivals. They offer us a wide range of books , both eBook as well as hard copy . Yeah, there is challenge to manage your social life with college life because most the time we were in college(9-5) and college is about 23 km. From my residential area which will take almost 1 hour for one side .
Admission
I've gone for GLA University, Rajiv Academy of technology and management and G L Bajaj Group of Institutions. Where all of them have accepted my admission application as there norms a student having more than 55% in graduation is eligible for admission. I decide to go with G L Bajaj Group of Institutions as it's offer me but affordability compare to GLA UNIVERSITY. The admission process is simple, you just have to sign the form, fill the details and submit tha "X" amount immediately to the bank account of college.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite balanced, relationship is also good. They mostly friendly in nature. I personally feel Dr. Praveen Agarwal is the best faculty because the way he taught us is no sort of entertainment, and his subjects are Business Statistics and Quantitative Techniques for managers which are the most difficult one. All faculties are good. The exam system is little hectic as we have to appeared 3 times before going for the final end semester examination. 3 test are 1. Sessional test 1- 50 marks - difficulty level- low. 2. Sessional test 2- 100 marks- difficulty level-high. 3. Pre University test- 100 marks- difficulty level- same as end semester examination.
