Brief Description about LPU

From my childhood only i like computers i use to play computer games that time . I was curious to know about how computer works when i got the knowledge about that in class 8 i was amazed how intiligent a person was who build this machine who can calculate or processed data so efficiently and in milliseconds. Btech CSE is the vast feild and is future proof. as we are seeing chatgpt , AI how they are coming in the market and how impactful they are now a days. everyone is using chatgpt in there own feild to improve there productivity, who build that ? obviously a Computer science engineer only. Also in india we know that software engineer have a good salary package they just need to have problem solving skills and computational skills and if they master a unique skill there package will rise drastically so its a best feild in 2024. the exam in lpu is easy we will have 2 CA before midterm and 1 CA after mid term then we have end term exam.

Lpu provide various paid internship programs where you can work in you summer break you need to visit that city and need to work for certain amount of time many of our course student went to microsoft and amazon as a SDE internship. They will provide the internship but you need to be in top 15 for that too because crowd is too much here and you need to distinguish yourself fro others for that you need to work for that.

Placement of my college is decent we have around 10k students in the same course at the time of placement it depend as per the cgpa cutoff many students arent able to fullfill the cgpa criteria so approx 6-7k student entered into the placement and among them 4-5k student get passed in the test of a company. they they will take interview and after that approx 200-300 students get selected in the company (mass recruiter) its decent though many companies are coming here which offers a decent packge of 2.5lpa - 7lpa. If you want higher package then you need to upgrade yourself then you can get 10lpa+ packge here too it totally depemds on you how you grab the opportunity for yourself. placement percentage will be around 35-40% here (reality 25-30%) this year. You need to be in a top 1 % in your class for better placement and you need to skill up yourself and learn different skills from the course too.

LPU have a unique scholarship system where student need to give an exam to get eligible for scholarship for that they will need to pay Rs 500 for application form then they gate a slot from LPU for the exam (at home center). According to that exam they will decide your category of scholarship. category 1- 30% of the semester fees. category 2- 26% of the semester fees. category 3- 22% of the semester fees. Fees structure for Btech CSE 1.First Year- Tuition Fees- Rs 240000 Scholarship per semester- 30% Total Tuition Fees - Rs 180000 Additional Charges- Rs 8000 (Per sem Rs 4000 endterm exam) 2. Second Year- Tuition Fees - Rs 240000 Scholarship per sem- 30% Total Tuition Fees- Rs 180000 Additional Charges- Rs 8000 + 4000 (lab charge) + 18000 (placement charge) 3. Third Year- Tuition Fees- Rs 240000 Scholarship per sem- 30% Total Tuition Fees- Rs 180000 Additional charges- Rs 8000 + Rs 4000 4. Fourth Year Total tuition fees- Rs 180000 Additional charge- Rs 8000 + Rs 4000

LPU campus life is great you have a big campus like a city u have everything inside like Malls , WH smith (each hostel). we have 7 Boys hostel and 6 Girls hostel in 600 acre feild. There are so many clubs like dancing bhangra, singing, musical instrument, event organisers, electrical dept etc. you will get duty leave for each of the club work here. Many celebrity use to visit here so it is good to join an event club you will get so many benefits there.

Hostel are good in LPU you will get different types of hostels like 1 seater, 2 seater, 3 seater, 4 seater, or 7 seater etc. They are different from each other according to there size and number of people living with you in the same room. Room cleaning is also there twice a week. Hostel is safe person from one hostel cannot enter to another hostel we have RFID card system to enter or exit from the hostel. They have some strict rules in the hostel that smoking, drugs are not allowed in the hostel, loud music is not allowed if you get caught you scholarship we get nullify.

I gave an competetive exam (Jee) but i was not able to crack that exam i got 86 percentile because i come from general category that time the general cuttoff was 91.6 percentile. i searched for other colleges like SRM, MIT, VIT i filled the form i got a decent rank there but there fees was to high which was not affordable for me. Then my relative took admission in LPU in BCA i researched about this university and got to now it is a decent college but we need to work hard for the placement because of the fees structure and decent placement rate i took the admission here and know i am working hard here for the upcoming placement the ROI of this college is good too . As compare to other college whose tuition is about 25lakh+ but there average package are 8lpa which is very bad .

In LPU Btech cse the ration is around 1:68 ( 1 faculty for 68 students per subject) its fine but it will be more better to reduce that to 1: 40. The faculty is good they will teach the topic well they give you a road map how to study and how we can score well and maintain the cgpa and some faculty will guide you for the placements too specially in programming subjects. If we have any doubt regarding any topic we discuss with out teacher they will explain in more better way with real life examples they are supportive they will give u a deserving marks only. in my 1st year i liked my web development teacher he was too much supportive he use to guide us about the varous certified courses regarding machine learning and web development from coursera he shared a trick to get a paid coursera course for free. He gave us the freedom to use Youtube in class for more in depth knowlede of the course and he treats us like friends.
