Course Curriculum Overview

3

In this specific topic our Indian Education system is far behind. Everybody knows that the subjects which are teached to the students are of no use in the student's future. And I too have the same perspective about this. The curriculum which is assigned for me is almost of no use in my future. The things which actually matter are the extracurricular activities which are performed. These activities give a peek to the real-world applications. I think the curriculum should be given a restructure.

Fees and Financial Aid

My summed up college fees is about 1,36,000 rupees. The tuition fees takes up a big chunk of about 1,15,000. The day of my admission the registration fees I paid was 1000 rupees. Then comes the other included fees such as Development, Processing, Student Insurance, Examination etc. These make an addition of around 20,000 rupees. The other course fees are basically around the same amount. But of course the better the course higher the fees.

Campus Life

3

I have heard about Alegria which is a very famous fest which is conducted in Pillai's. But I don't have any idea about when is it held. The infrastructure of the library is very much commendable. It is well maintained and the availability of books is very easy. Through my experience of school and middle school, the comparison of the technological provisions is very much bad. The sports and extracurricular activities are not a thing to talk upon cuz there is no match to it. Various sports such as basketball, football is available for the students. The social groups are really very great as far as I have heard.

Admission

I basically chose this college because my elder brother is a passout from this college. He has guided me very much throughout this admission process. I waited two rounds in the admission process, the first round I wasn't allotted any college, the second round I was allotted a college named KC college of Thane. It didn't seem a right college to choose so I applied for betterment. The third round was the one where I got admission in Pillai's and I was ready. I had tried for Agnels Vashi through Management, but I was unable to go through. Agnels being the top college in engeneering point of view and also a very less distance for travelling was an optimal choice. Yhe admission process for my college was a bit rocky, because the process was very fast and we had to rush through it even though we weren't ready. Exams might be a very strict matter in here and the cutoffs are not that high enough, like in 3-4 rounds of admission it is possible to get into Pillai's.

Faculty

3.5

I don't have an exact idea about this topic but I'll say what I know. As far as my experience the interaction with the faculty was great. There are no complaints about them. I exactly dont know the names of the faculty because it has just been a week of lectures. But as far as I think they are very helpful. The exam structure is divided in 3-4 sections and they are about to begin in a month's period.

Honestly the placement is good in college but student's are not able to get that placement because they don't work on their skills . Then how could college place them although College does their best in placement. Almost 80% students get placement in our college .the highest package last year was 12.5 lakhs per annum. The average Package is almost about 3 lakhs per annum.
