Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

You get to take care of people in need. The curriculum would prepare me for the real-world. With your own self interest you need to learn how to apply book knowledge in the real world. Both are very different. Areas for improvement - teaching, more clinical exposure, removing unnecessary subjects from the curriculum, stop giving seminars by putting on PPTS just teach us in your own way, even students can read a PPT. Exams frequency is fine but they conduct 4th year subject exams right from 2nd year.

Internships Opportunities

2

There is no such thing as internship oppurtunity. We as medical students, have to work for 1 year in our college, doing nearly 120 hours per week of work by getting a salary of 10,000/- per month! It is totally unfair.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got a B-category seat in our college. And the yearly fee for us is 12,40,000/- which includes tuition and tarnasportation charges. Apart from these two, we paid a caution deposit of 40,000/-. Excluding these two fees, we have mess bill, electricity bill, dhobi bill, etc., which are monthly expenses which can be rounded off to approximately 8000/- . There are scholarship options if you are an A-category student. To conclude, the yearly fee is defenitely increasing and the standards doesnt meet the amount we are paying

Campus Life

2.5

Overall experience is okayish. The social aspects are pretty bad because this college have a huge amount of narrow minded people, like as narrow as a peice of hair. And to my surprise, most of the students are also the same. They started cluns very recently so they are going good as of now. Library is pretty decent but you cannot take books from there, you ahould go there, read there and put them there. Not to forget, our college is severly ober crowded like.. 250 students per year ... we dont have any place to walk on footpath and i am not exaggerating.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel is the okayish. There are no single rooms available. You have to pay the mess bill if you stay in hostel, no other option. Eluru town is bad to stay outside for a girl due to transportation issues and all. Meals are bad.. like truly bad. We got mosquitoes, cockroaches and files in our food and when we complain they just tell us to ignore it cause it is common as we have an OPEN kitchen. And they take 1,45,000/- per year for a 3 membered room, mess bill of 4200/- per month!!!!! It is totally over pricy

Admission

This college was never my choice. My father forced me to join in this college or I should forget about becoming a doctor. From his point of view, this is a college with good security and that's all any south-indian father needs. It is different from other colleges in many ways as in educationally. they only teach us from books, we have very minimal clinical exposure, we have to study on our own. Coming to what went wrong that i didnt go to other college. i scored 514 in my neet thats what went wrong and I have a reservation in SVU region and applied colleges in AU region, that too is a drawback. I never would have got an A-cat seat, but atleast i would be in a familiar place. The admission process is simple. Apply as per state counselling, put it in your top priority and if you have enough bank balance to pay them, you will get a seat

Faculty

2.5

60% of our faculty are nice. It is like concentrate on their teaching but not their view on society or how they criticize everything. Some of our teachers, openly say in our class that being homosexual is a crime, like what the hell is wrong with these people. They make fun of their wives, sexist, racist jokes. When it comes to students, they speak as if... as if we are some dumb people who doesnt know whats the answer of 2+2. They tell to our face that it is a miracle if we pass.. they always try and crush your self motivation and positive spirit that you tired your ass off to develop.

There is no such thing as campus placement in medical courses.. we are provided with internship with the linked hospital with an approximate stipend of 30k per month for a year and after that we receive the course completion certificate and we can either practice in a clinic or pursue the post graduation upon our interests..

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.
