Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum provided by VTU is known to everyone that it is outdated. Mostly one or two subjects will be relevant to the industry and all the other subjects is not needed actually. As I said it is pretty outdated they have to take up courses from a training centre to meet the industry requirements. But going to the curriculum and the exams it's pretty hard to clear them because no one is getting enough practical knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

3

Most of the internship opportunities don't offer stipend. Aaj everyone does there will be only one project that an enter graduate student does and I don't think so that you will be learning enough when it compared to industry projects.

Placement Experience

3

You can start applying for placements after your third year but students get offers only in their four year end during my placements here there were lot of companies that came to my college they offered a range of packages which starts from 3.5 to 15 lpa. Most of the companies or related to information technology honor to companies were related to electronics and 4 to 5 companies were related to mechanic. During my placement year around 300 to 400 people got placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid around 90000 Indian rupees for year during my under graduation. All the features included within the 90k that you are paying except VTU exam fees. The tuition fees was around 30k to 40k. It increases every year, in the first year I just paid 30000 but in my 4th year I paid around 38000. There is no specific scholarship that is given by the college what you can apply for the scholarships offered by the government and also if you top the class then you would be awarding with the prize. I got admission into my college through CET and my fees first lesser but those who join through management pays double the CET fees. We can apply for scholarships offered by the government in SSP portal or in NSP portal and this is offer for all people accept general category.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is pretty boring you will be having annual means annual functions sports all only once in a year. Library is good you will find most of the books but I don't think so that they really help you because you are not allowed to carry them outside the library just read and complete within the library. Only few racks are allowed to carry for 15 days without any fees if you are late in returning them then you will have to be a fine. Extra curricular activities like hackathons and workshops happen there are you technical clubs as well but most of them are not that active.

Admission

I choose this college because this was the best that I got for my rank and also there was a good talk about this college for my branch. Hi couldn't perform better in my entrance exam so I ended with this college. Herbition process with similar everywhere you have to pay referee's once or twice in a year.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is 30. Even though the ratio is to high professors indulge with students effectively. The professors are really good and I really liked my HOD. I can't really name whom I don't like but there are few. It's pretty same everywhere in every under graduation college there will be 3 internal exams and to lab internal exams and days semester exam every 6 months. Curriculum is provided by the VTU University.

Other Applied Colleges

RNS Institute of Technology - [RNSIT] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

It was because of college fees of RNS. It was higher than KSIT

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
