IIT dhanbad campus is very greenery. Campus is well developed.
Academic are very fabulous. Institute has his own lagecy. Institute is completed its 100 years at 2026
Bonding is well good between professors and students. There are many sports and clubs. Boys and girls ratio(per 100 )- boys: girls 100:15

Dislikes

Campus is good but Dhanbad city is not well developed.
There are no many food options for vegetarian out of the campus.

My course is specific cource. My course is in Metallurgical department.It is all about chemistry.This is fundamental subject . It is depend you that you how to understand a topic. This branch slightly easy other then all branch.

Internships Opportunities

Many students will get intership in 3 Rd year . And almost students get intership by Microsoft, Drdo and many more. Companies are offered many roles to student like accitent Mech, accitent manager etc. many companies gives projects to coding related. I don't get any intership. This information give my seniors.

Placement are good of this college.previous many students placed by many companies. Google, Flipkart , TaTa steel and many more companies arrived in this college. Petroleum Engineering is good branch it's placements is good and average package is 25 lakh.

My campus like is very good because always want to come in an IIT college.Campus are so friendly. All STUDENTS follows culture of Campus.Here many festival are celebrated. Many fest are organised by our seniors.

Admission

I chooses this college because it's alumini network. It is an ancient college of India. I liked it's campus. And truly I said that I have not any better option other than this college. And this college famous for mining.

Per 20 students 1 faculty. Relationship is well good between faculties and students.Pro N.K. is too good.2 exam are conducted by institute during 1 semester.Exam are moderate to difficult.profeesres always support students.

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for placement. Name of the company I forgot but nvidia amazon comes each year and take some students Paypal offered 4 students 28 lpa and Swiggy gave 2 students 35 lpa Nvidia gave 2 students 25 lpa Highest package data is not out as of now Avg is good this year I guess it's was 12-13 lpa Percentage is I guess reality 60/150

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

Placement Experience:

One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!...Read More
