Course Curriculum Overview
The ragging-free ecosystem throughtout the campus and the overall discipline such as the uniform influenced me to choose this course. The mentorship and soft skills provided by tech professionals from MNCs are also a big influence to choose this course. The placements are defenitely a part of it. The guidance provided by Tech professionals do help in real world applications and prepare for further academic pursuits such as MBA or Mtech. These kind of teach methods also improved us for insdustrial exposure. The frequency and timing of the exams are little out of pattern and the difficulty is fair for all subject except for maths.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities from the start of the course itself. Various startups and Big companies like SAP, Amazon, WIPRO, Tech mahindra and etc hire students from our college. Most of these internships are paid as well and the stipend vaires from anywhere from 3 thousand rupees per month to 30 thousand + (per month) The projects are also given by the teacher for industrial exposure and for the development of industry level skills
Placement Experience
The placements in the college is above average, companies like SAP Amazon WIPRO TECH MAHINDRA AND TCS hire from this college very frequently. SAP made an offer for a student of 28 LPA ctc along with masters from BITS PILANI college. The number of offers made are quite good as well. The highest pakcage offered was 45 LPA ctc from Amazon. Percentage of students getting placements is also very good but I am not sure of the exact percentage in numbers. My plan after getting the degree is to build an open source startup. If no campus placement if offered then these students are guided by the college only.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees or development fees (semester wise) for BTECH is 38050. Book bank (yearly payment) is 1000 rupees. Sport fee is 250 rs annually,. Student Insurance is 250 rs as well. Admission form is 1500 rs. Caution money (refundable) is 1500 rs. Registration fees for exams varies from 500 rupees to 3000+ rupees. The fee structure for my batchmates for catogeries other than mine is cheaper (for backward classes) and I am not aware of the exact free breakup for those. Scholarships are based on JEE and CGPET marks. I didnt apply for any scholarships but there is Financial assistance for Merit - based students and mentorship by proffesionals from MNCs
Campus Life
The name of annual event is called VYOM. Each year it is held along with different fests such as dance, sports, singing, acting, roleplay, debates and etc. VYOM is held once every year followed by a celebrity guest. The library is the best part of the college, it provides the best infrastructure and resources. The library provides a very good range and amount of books. The sports and extracurricular activities are offered in the campus as well, they not only help us build soft skills but also have fun in the campus. The technical fests are also good such as Hackathons and programming courses in the college campus itself
Admission
This college was very close to my home and this college has known for its placements and discipline. I also applied for other colleges such as Shri Shankracharya Institute of Technology Raipur for both of their campuses that are located in Raipur and Bhilai. This college was the nearest from my home so I selected this college as final. I did not get rejection from any other college I applied for. The admission process in my college is through JEE mains and CGPET marks along with the payment of the seat and 1st semester fee. The exams accepted for my course are JEE mains JEE advance and CGPET exam. CGPET exam is preferred by most students and the cutoff is high since rungta is a good college.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is 60:1. The relationship between students and faculties is very friendly and formal. Even the senior employees are easily accessible and helpful. The faculties I liked the most were Mr. Laxman Rao Sir for his extra ordinary teaching skills and the way he speaks, Ms. Rabia ma'am for her politeness, friendliness and the overall teaching experience she provied. There are currently no faculties that could be disliked because the college has way too good faculty eco-system throughtout the different colleges in the campus. There are total 3 exams in which 2 are Class test exams of 1 hour, they are mediocre level difficult and the final exam is called End-sem exam in which Maths exam is way too tough. Many students even fail in the maths exam. The course is relevant and fair, the questions asked in the end sem exams are mostly taught in the class as well.
Other Applied Colleges
Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology - [SSIPMT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
RCET college was in my hometown only and this college was quite far compared to the one I selected.
