Course Curriculum Overview

It is quite good as compared to other local college. Smit is also known for its biggest feast -"KALRAV" celebrated in sikkim Everything is balanced in sucha a way that students can study properly and enjoy side by side

Internships Opportunities

It is based on our choice to choose the area of internship and it facilities a good overall review of its the things the college suggest and brings out the overall all happiness among us to be noted case

Placement Experience

It provides the best placement in sikkim just a few months back a student from my college got placed in Mercedes with an annual package of 120000 which is very proud for our college in a long run that's why it's good to opt for it

Fees and Financial Aid

I need to pay 203400 per year for my overall course So there are scholarship as per the persentage of the students for example if we scored 90% in our 12th board exam we will claim scholarship of 40% off Like wise 80%=30% 60%=20% off

Campus Life

The college campus is on its top notch it bares 6 accadamic blocks including other blocks and it's so good and well maintained and the garden is also very clean and beautiful everything is well organized

Admission

It is one of the best college according to the local newspaper times of sikkim it is renowned for its good campus all the grenary frash air and the good vibes all around the collage that's why I think it's good choice

Faculty

Everything is fine and good and I feel like the exam being set up by the college it self is quite competitive which brings out the overall students capability in his/her field of specialization . Thus smit is excellent

The placement was ok not really good not really bad and most of the campany that come in our campus were mass recruiters some MNCs also come, like Google but they take very low students from smit like 2-3 students

Placement is all about your preparation as opportunities come too much but if you have power then crack that one. Highest was going in 2024 batch is 44 lpa and 66 percent was placed as there are recession going on this time due to covid all market crases.

Yeah replacement system I am not family or with this placement in all because had just recently join not just recently it's been like one and half year but also in placement system I am not focusing on that side because you know what I don't rely on this college I just need degree from this college and just want to be independent and search for job business on my own this collage is just waste of time still I am saying this tho I cannot do anything about this because I am already in second year so if I leave this college now I have no other option to do better option to do so I am I am stock in this college you can say and replacement system everything is just fine not so much good not

Placement Experience:

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.

From 5 th semester student can apply for internships and after 6th semester they can apply for placements. The average package is 7 lakh per annum and highest is based upon recession and market structure. Last year one senior got 44 lpa package from Nivida.

Students become eligible from 7th sem and placement was good before but In this 2024 batch it's the worst placement of all time only 58% students got placement with less package because of recession Im looking for a placement and further plan is to work for a company

Some of the factors that made me choose this college are:- • SMIT provides an excellent placement in reputed organizations like Microsoft, Dell, Tech-mahindra, Wipro, Infosys, etc and has a placement rate of 90%. • Student exchange programmes by IAESTE-SMIT allows us to study in any of the 80 member countries. • The state-of-art infrastructure enhances the quality of education. • There is a teacher-guardian mentoring system that allows people monitoring of students in terms of academics or extracurricular activities. • Well experienced faculty members. • The Atal incubation Center that helps in mining out the Excellent Entrepreneurs.

Overall - SMIT, with its foundation built in its efficient college management, is a good private Engineering college, which offers students a solid technical education, as well as honing their creative selves and personalities, and offering them plentiful exposure to the outside world, all while maintaining a sense of discipline as well as fun and enthusiasm within its grounds amidst the mountains of Sikkim.
