Course Curriculum Overview

3

I took up this course because I wanted to pursue an MBA as masters and thought this subject won't be a bad combination. But after taking up this course i understood it is a pretty hard one and on top of that my college didn't have any provinces for enhancement of communication skills which plays a huge role in today's world.Examinations are held twice in a year in a semester system which is very convenient.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year -8k(approx) The breakdown Admission fees-500 Basic computer course-990 Centenary building fees -500 College development fees-300 College exam fees-460 Cu registration fees-110 Laboratory caution deposit -250 Laboratory development fees-300 Laboratory fees -1180 Library caution deposit -150 Library development fees-550 Other fees-400 Second campus fees-500 Session fees -220 Students health home-10 Tuition fees-1320

Campus Life

1

My campus life was pretty inexistent as my college was more into politics (baseless) because everone had to support only one political party and can have no other opinions. Our class had just a pair of fan in a class full of 72 students so it's pretty much impossible to attend a class properly in the summer season.

Admission

I took up this college thinking it was a good one and also because it was the closest to my place but after attaining my first class i realised it's a mistake.I honestly feel colleges under CU should start giving importance to several other important skills such as communication, leadership rather than just focusing on the academics only.

Faculty

2

Not all faculty members are supportive but few are. There are 70 students and 3-4 teachers.I have noticed the typical snobbish attitude in few teachers which really discourages a student to approach them and solve their academic doubts. The marking system is not that good too.Grace marking is not given to students in times of need and supplementary exams are rescheduled after one year approximately so it's really hard for students at times.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
