In pimpri Chinchwad, It's only good engineering college for average student who score betweeen 92-96 percentile.
This college is just 10 km from my house.

Dislikes

There are no encouragement for sports. .

Course Curriculum Overview

Just like any other college in maharashtra.Even though it is autonomous college, they teach same subjects and I believe those subjects are less important compared to programming languages like C, C++ etc. But you know.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 11300 per year

Internships Opportunities

TCS, Accenture , Veritas are most visting companies to college campus. They provide internships and placements. Currently 3-4 companies visiting college in every month. Internship opportunities are great.

Placement Experience

Generally placements starts from 7th semester. Companies offers average package of 4.5 lakh. Well, We don't deserve package which is more than this. Students who studies will get placement. Last year 100 out of 155 got placed from It department.

Fees and Financial Aid

College campus is better than I expected. Recently our principle changed. So attendance issue has been solved. Campus is small and feel like school. There is no ground,sports. College festivals are not great either. But Currently I'm in 4th year. Companies are visiting to campus.If you are serious about studies, you won't mind college fests,sports.

Campus Life

There are clubs both technical and non-Technical. Students do participate. They actively participate in festivals and other occasions. If College funds properly, clubs may operate properly. Sports fests are so averge.

Admission

I live in Pune with my family. It would be embarrasing if I would have to spend my college in hostel rather than family. I wanted college which is within 10km. So There was only good college within in this range.

Faculty

Teachers are good. It depend on students about how they interact with teachers. Definately they are not modern teachers taking stupid stuff like assignments so seriously. Overall It was okay. I don't think in this range of percentile you would get faculty like IIT's.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department.
