Review of Lukhdhirji Engineering College

I love chemical industry and I respect all the chemical engineers in the world . My sister is also one chemical engineer and she is my role model and I choose the path of her. The studies of chemical engineering is helping me to understand the basic learning of heat transfer, mass transfer and fluid flows .

Our college does provide placements. But they all offer very low amount of salary and big industries are come oftern in placement and they choose one or two students out of all class which is not very good. Companies like Adani and Nirma comes to our placement. But only 10% of students gets placement from the placement cells.

I will be paying 950 rupees of exam fees and 915 rupees of miscellaneous fees in my last year of college. The amount of fees changes according to the year of degree and according to the gender. Like female students don't have to pay tuition fees while male students have to. 1st year students have to pay 1475 , 2nd year students have to pay 1575 and third year students have to pay 1700 of tution fees. We can get MYSY scholarship based on our results or digital Gujarat scholarship every year. We can not apply more than one scholarship.

My overall experience is not so good not so bad . It's Between average. There are only one or two festivals in one year . The library is pretty good , it has all books for studies. The facilities are also good like we are provided fan and lights which is basic needs. There is no sport or extracurricular activities in our campus. There are so many groups like Ignite and other.

I choose this college because it is firstly government aided college so fees here are very less compared to other private colleges. Other government aided college in our state is good compared to my college. I applied in all government colleges in my state but my over all Ranking wasn't that much good to get addmission in those colleges. Our college get students based on there state ranking score .

There are total 9 faculty members in our department and we are total 74 students in our class . According to me the ratio is low. In all only 2 to 3 faculties have done PHD degree in their feild and only some of them have industrial training. Some faculties give laboratories same priority as studies while others just ignore the laboratory work ,which is very undesirable by us. We have 2 exams in one year, one internal exam known as mid semester exam and other one is main University exam . All students have to clear both the exams to pass the year .
