Course Curriculum Overview
My decision to join VIT was due to the fame of the university. However, the curriculum is up to date for real-world problems. The courses and syllabus are regularly updated to match the industry requirements. There are two exams 1) Mid term (It is of 50 marks which gets converted to 30 marks), 2) Final Exam (it is of 100 marks which gets converted to 60 marks) Remaining 10 marks are for attendance and assignment
Fees and Financial Aid
The first year fees that I have paid is 193000. The second year's academic fees is 190000. The 3000 paid extra for the first year is admission charges. This fee is inclusive of all other charges such as admission fees, development fees and others. All of us have got Category 1 fees. Category 2 fees is around 200000 extra for two years. There are different types of merit based scholorships
Campus Life
Overall, my campus experience has been good. The crowd is nice and people are friendly. Professors and other staffs are also very courteous. However, there are some rigid rules related to hostel, that I don't like. Also, the cafe/food scene is not that great. There is always rush and crowd at the places you want to eat.
Admission
I had applied for Amrita Vishwavidyalaya, Christ College, Amity. After I got offer letter from VIT, I didn't attend any other exams. For admission into VIT, we have to give a MCQ exam which is of 100 marks. I had given the exam and choose the courses. After, I got my rank, I was asked to select courses based on preference.
Faculty
Our class has only 44 students and just one section. And there are 8 subjects this semester. So, student to faculty ratio is around 1:6 There is one mid-term exam which is of 30 marks, and one final exam of 60 marks. 5 marks are for attendance and 5 marks for assignment.
