GATE- Graduate Aptitude test for Engineers. Scored- 90 Percentile. Being IIITM it was one of the best choices, as I always wanted to be apart of an Indian Institute.

IT was really good, as I came from Electrical and Electronics engineering , so my base for computer science was built by this curriculum. This really helped me in understanding the Core concepts of computer science engineering. Also as i was interested in Advance Computer networks, I was given full opportunity to explore new areas & learn the basics from Scratch.

College provides Internship, but it was not relevant to my field of Graduation. As I had cleared GATE & taken admission through GATE score card, I was given scholarship from the Government of India.

Well it was quite the hard time in year 2007-08. It was core recession time & no companies were focusing on hiring new talent. But i got placement opportunity & was placed in an Software Organisation. They offered a quite decent package as compared to the times what we/industry was facing.

Yes, there were Sports, Cultural, National level seminars & other events held in the college from time to time. Cultural fest was called Aurora, where as the sports was called as Twaran. This Cultural event was a national level event were invitation are sent to all the colleges and invite them to participate the fest which had both cultural as well as Brain events involved in it.

Being a government aided college fees was not at all expensive. Economically poor candidate were provided with waiver of college fees. Also we were given scholarships from the government of India for our studies and Expense purpose. Infact some of us were able to pay off there fees through the scholarships & manage there own expenses while staying in the college.

Since we took admission through GATE, we were getting scholarships from the Government on India for our study and research purpose. Institute used to waive of fees of the economically poor candidates as well. My college was fully governed by Government of India which gave the candidate really a good time to learn and improve oneself as well as grow our personality.

Hostels were really good we all were given individual rooms on no sharing basis. We were infact given an opportunity to go and select the rooms where we wanted to stay on first come first get basis. Mess was an awesome experience, it taught me how to cook food for myself & eat whatever i wanted to eat.

Yes Alumni network exist and still functional with various Chapters across various location in India as well as Abroad. Seniors as well as Juniors are really helpful & try to help each other in difficult situations.

Well I would say it was a mix & match of both a chilled out/hectic atmosphere. During the Examination period it used to get really difficult. The staff was so helpful & cool that they use to solve our problem and clear our understanding even at the last moment (before start of the examination). Labs were Hot (Hot as in Hectic) during the college hours but it used to become a battle ground in the evening hours, where we and our seniors used to play LAN Games(Counter Strike) till the first light of the morning.

Need to apply for Admission in Programme by sending your Engineering degree, other docs, along with GATE score card. Then after you are short listed then you get a call letter for Another written test & Personal interview. After you clear the written and personal interview, you are given admission to the preferred branch as per the order while applying.

It was really good, they understood that i come from a different background & helped me creating a base for Computer Science. This was really good, they were so patient with me and my queries. They were quite encouraging & pushing me to my limits which really helped me in gaining the knowledge which I posses today.
