Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because i want a real world experience and this course provides practical knowledge. The course curriculum is completely based on the case studies which preapre us for the real corporate world. But there is a lot of academic pressure in this course. The exams are conducted every week and a lot of students are not able to handle this much of pressure , so i think it should be changed. 2 exams conducted on the same day and it is very difficult to study for 2 exams and also there is no gap between exams so it should also changed

Admission

I applied for ICFAI Business School,JAIPUR before taking admission in gurgaon. In jaipur they offer MBA(Masters of business administration) which is a theoritical degree and in gurgaon they offer PGPM (Post graduation program in management) which is a practical course, that's why i choose this college over others and the location is also quite good as gurgaon is the hub of jobs. I got confirmed admission from IBS Jaipur, NIMS Jaipur, Vivekanand Global University, Jaipur I want to take admission in IIMs but i am not selected and then i choose ICFAI Bussiness School, Gurgaon To take the admission in IBS, you have to clear the IBSAT Exam conducted by IBS Hyderabad,If the student scored well in the exams then he/she will get the scholarship of 2 lakhs.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is very approachable. The reationship between the student and the faculty members are quite good.Teachers are very friendly and teaches very well The faculty of the subject, accounts is very good. In my section,Ranjani Matta mam teaches accounts and she is very good in teaching. The students with the background of non commerce can easily understand accounts with the help of Ranjani Matta mam. The faculty of ISM (Information System Management) ia also quite good. Richa Bhargava mam teaches us ISM and she is very soft spoken. There are 4 semesters in our course . In each semester, exams are conducted 6 times. C1,C2,Mid term,C3,C4 and the last END TERM Mid terms are open book exams but they are quite tough. Questions are based on case studies only. C1 and C2s exams are easy. Students easily clear those exams C1,C2,C3,C4 exams hold 10% of weightage each. So the total weightage of these exams are 40% Mid terms exams hold 20% of weightage and end term is of 40%

The only plan right now is to get placed in a good MNC where I can use my skills to give my best to organisation. Having a good package in hand makes life easy after degree after then experience adds on to your profile and then you pace growth from there.

There is not much to say about anything bad for college the only thing is that college is situated little bit out of the main city which sometimes in the night doesn't allow to get commute, there are several colleges also in the same route which are much more far from this one.

Remarks:

Great college. Great college management. Always smiling people ready to help out with whatever the student wants. A bad remark is insanely high prices of private cabs in front of the university gate and we students ourselves are responsible for them and not the college. College shuttle facility is great and cheap however only if we can avail it timely with good prior planning before our scheduled trip. Kudos to college Management and their superior work once again
