- First of all it has a very good placement record.
- Seniors here are supportive and helps in all type of activities.
- Ragging is not allowed here and is considered as a punishable offence.
Dislikes
- There must be some improvement in washroom of boys hostel.
- It is a bit difficult to find classrooms as they are coded as direction
- There must be more stationary shops and essential item shops within campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing mechanical engineering. Course is a bit difficult but teachers are supportive and experienced so they help us manage it with ease. We are provided practical knowledge along with the theoretical. We are taken to workshop to perform different type of activities like manufacturing... And learning about the machines

Internship opportunities are give to students in 3rd year and students can opt to move and work with the company if they want to .there are numerous companies who came here for interships and students are placed in same company if they perform well.
Placement Experience
Students in nit allahabad become eligible for campus placement in 7th semester itself.there are various companies who have visited nit allahabad this year like Google , Microsoft, Flipkart , uber , Zomato, Amazon , and many other multinational companies. Highest package offered is 1.2cr and avg package is 20lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
Nit allahabad is a very good college. It is located in prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. It has an average package of 20 lpa. The highest package offered is 83 lpa. It has highest median package of 17lpa which Is best among all nits. It has nirf ranking 60 which is very less as compared to its quality and facilities. Tuition Fees per semester is 68000 and 25000 is mess fee for students choosing stay at hostel . Hostel fee is 12000 per semester. Additional 5000 are taken as security money.
Campus Life
This college has a very good and lush green campus. There are many fests organised here . First fest for a newly admitted student is known as SWAGAT and yearly fest is CULRAV. There are varieties of clubs and a numerous committees.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility here are quite satisfying. It has 4 sharing and 3 sharing room for freshers. 2 students in 2nd year and single room for final year students. Mess is at ground floor and food given to the students is nutritional and tasty .
Admission
The other colleges I applied was NIT TRICHY. I opted for electronics and communication and CSE there but didn't have sufficient marks to qualify. I got civil engineering in NIT TRICHY. but I choose this college as mechanical engineering has better placement records . Also allahabad is near my home town while Trichy is far away .so I choose nit allahabad over nit Trichy. Nit Trichy is also a very good college but I got better branch in allahabad. This was also a reason to choose allahabad over nit Trichy. Admission in nit allahabad is taken through JOSAA councelling. It takes place after jee advanced exam . You must have score above the cutoff to sit in josaa councelling. All the students who score more the 75 percentage in board exams are allowed to sit and those having marks below 75 are rejected. There are multiple rounds and you get college according to your rank in JEE mains and jee advanced examination.
Faculty
Teaching quality at college is very good.professors here are having good experience. Teachers here are very experienced and most of them are PhD holders. Teacher to student ratio is close to 20 but I am not sure .
