Course Curriculum Overview

4

A course of 6 months in which one going to find dealing with exams every month as there are 2 class tests(15 marks each), 1 end sem examinations(70marks each paper) as well as internal(30 marks) & external(20)labs. Class tests are based on the syllabus that has been taught during the month/2 months period where end sem is of all syllabus. The syllabus of any subject is concluded in 5 chapters you can assume that in Ct's you gonna get 2 chapters test. There are 10 experiments which will be further tested through internal & external labs. Difficulties are average. T

Placement Experience

2

From 3rd year itself students are eligible for campus placements. Due to the recession there are only some companies visited the college in IT related field but the companies from other field also visited like Thermax but offered lesser package the average package is of 3 lakhs per annum in ECE but major of students opted for Higher education or prep for gate/govt. Exams too. I am also the one who opted preparation for govt. Services for 2023 batch the highest package was 6.5lpa & average is about 2.5-3lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of this college is very affordable, a total of approx 1.2 lakhs(max, as fee structure is been changed this year) for whole course this includes admission fees(600), registration fees, tech fest fees(500 every year), caution money(1000) sports fees(500 every year), lab fee(2000 every year), library fee(300 every year), transportation and many more. The fees of spot counseling students is little higher might be difference of only 1000-2000 only. There are numerous scholarships that a govt. Of India/ state schlorships provide (example- Single girl child scholarships scheme, Cg govt. Schlorship, Ekalyan Jharkhand schlorship etc) the amount depends of scholarships scheme. A 11000rs merit based financial aid is given to the highest percentage scorer of whole 4 years( gold medalist). Also if you want to be a hostler the fees might of 2 lakhs including fooding as of my knowledge the mess fees is about 3200 per month

Campus Life

3.5

There are many clubs in the colleges ex- Silicon society, IEEE-GGV, GFGs etc where students from various engineering background are involved & togetherly enjoy learning/ lectures/ events. ECE lecture series one of the amazing initiative of ECE department where many alumnii do visit & discuss about industry & where they are working how they started it & all. If we speak about facilities & technological provisions are very good as well as there are many extracurricular activites are being offered here (sports, NSS, NCC etc). Libraries do have wide varities of collection of all sorts of books (from departmental as well as central library) and all are accessible to every student's having library card

Admission

Admission here requires qualifying score in jee mains & admission process through josaa/csab counselling as well as spot counselling and also the 12th boards score 75% marks. Through josaa csab counselling I got this college I do have filled other options too but my choice filling as well as my score aren't enough for NIT/Top IIITs & whatever colleges I do got through the counselling GGU is best in all respect infracture & also being a central university is also a plus point. I do also check fee structure & found this one is affordable for me

Faculty

3.5

The faculties here are very approachable & there is a good facultie to student ratio. One can find all sorts of questions in the exams (easy to difficult level) From my point of view there are some amazing faculties like Dr. Nipun Kumar Mishra, Chandan Tamrakar, Dr. Anil kumar Soni, Sumit gupta, Dr. Soma Das, Dr. Anita Khanna ma'am etc.., their teaching techniques as good & they do make sure that the class is understanding things & also give wonderful opportunities. Teachers do prepare exams papers which are meant to be tackled but if one is not preparing enough going to fail definately there are approx 5-15 students who do fail in a strength of 75 students. There are some drawbacks too as of some faculties aren't great enough but recently many more faculties joined the college I can't say about them.

To be honest placement scenario is not really good. One becomes eligible for placement in the final year. Companies like cognizant used to visit the college for mass recruitment but after covid even they are not visiting. But few startups visit every year. The highest package this year was 12 lpa ctc. And avg 6 lpa. Only 30 percent get placement. My plan is to do M TECH.

Placement Experience:

Placements at SSIPMT Raipur are pretty good. Students become eligible from 6th semester for campus placements. Companies that visit: TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, etc. They mostly offer roles like software developer, support engineer, tester, etc. Highest Package: ?42 LPA (off-campus international placement) Average Package: Around ?6 LPA Placement Percentage: Almost 100% for CS/IT branches if the student is active and skilled. My Future Plan: After completing my degree, I’ll try to get placed through campus first, then maybe switch later for better opportunities or prepare for higher studies if needed.

The placements are not at all good here, the highest package ever is 7.5LPA and the lowest is 1.25LPA so the average usually comes around 2.5LPA which is not enough with the current inflation rates of our country. And they don't get very big companies to come for the hiring.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent. It doesn't not matter from which branch you are . If you have skills and have a cgpa of above 7-7.5 most companies allow students from every branch to sit for placements. If you are decent in studies and you managed to brush up your skills in these four years . You will grab a good package despite whatever your branch is.
