What Students Say

Likes

Teachers and faculty is Cooperative and overall infrastructure is good .
They also provide hostel facility for people who stay in other states

Dislikes

Hotel facilities is only for boys and that too with high prices.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am quite happy with the course curriculum of maharaja agrasen institute of management studies . They have society called Training and placement cell which helps in real world applications . And guides for intership and placements

Internships Opportunities

So Maharaja agrasen institute of management studies provides internship from 2nd year and companies offer roles as entry level roles. Stipend is dependent on the role they offering to a student. Stipend around 7k-10k

Placement Experience

Students get internship offers for 3 months after the completion of 2nd year which is in campus . Placement in MAIMS is only possible after the completion of graduation in which highest package is of 9 lakh and average of 4 lakh

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year I paid ?120000 as fees. Along with that we have to pay for book charges ?5000 which is refundable after completion of graduation. In 2nd year I paid fees of ?120800 in which 99800 as tution fees , ?1000 as activity and ?20000 as university fees. There are subsidy for sc/st and they also provide scholarship for people with ews certificate.

Campus Life

In Maharaja agrasen institute of management studies they have good infrastructure with 4-5 canteens including Nescafe and amul . In MAIMS they have societies which organises festivals. They have many clubs and social groups also.

Admission

So at first I didn't want to join Maharaja Agrasen Institute of management studies as MAIMS is in Rithala and I stay in Faridabad it is difficult for me to travel for 5 hrs. But I have to choose this as I have not filled du the college selection list correctly

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is quite good and teachers are also good if students ask something teachers provide their insight and helpful. So In one semester their will be two exams one internal and other one external . So in aur term 2023-26 we have internal exam of 20 which moderate and 70 of external and remaining 10 is for teachers 's remarks.

so the placement here are avergae according to me a normal average student can score a 3.5 lpa package and the highest package was around 8-9 lpa which is good enough according to the college . many different comapny visited the college like grant thrompton, ey, zomato,kpmg etc my plans after getting my degree is to persue mba

mostly 3rd year students sits for placements , offers are given yet they are low from market and not vast in numbers too , i dont remember any major company that joined the placement drive its mostly local startups and companies and they dont support us doing interships so its really hard in bms to get placements as it just not possible

IIMT: A roller coaster ride

Placement Experience:

There are quite few placement opportunities provided by the college but most of them are for sales or operations positions. At the sixth semester students are eligible for the Campus placements. BBA students gets an average package of 3.5 - 4 lakhs. My plan after completing BBA is to start my MBA journey. Currently preparing for my CAT Exam.

An Out of campus gem

Remarks:

Overall the college is a gem, being an out of campus college it provides a student with all the facilities which a north campus college can, from the high tension politics to big relaxing grounds, to happening societies, to big fests and to the latest infrastructure, each and everything is in par competence with north campus colleges.

Disappinting experience at Maims

We have to fill online form on Ip university site.Then we need to appear for entrance exam like cat,mat,cmat.If we meet the cutoff set by university then we take admission here which is under 5000 rank.Then there is a personal interview with the admission panel.After that they verify documents and academic records then gives admission.Reserved categories have less cutoff for admission.Some aspects can be improved regarding admission:- 1. transperancy-there should be more clarity about cut off scores and selection criteria 2.communication-they should communicate better regarding college schedule and requirements 3.support-they should show more support in addressing queries and admission requirement 4.less documentation-they should ask for less documents and streamline process for all courses...Read More
