Likes

I liked the cultural socities here and the support of faculties for students.
The sports commitee regularly conducts the sports turnaments.
The Hostel is really affordable, I really like it.

Dislikes

The Levelof diffulty in end sem paper is very high.
The Internal environment of college is not very good.
The food quality at mess is very bad at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very good, and very helpful for gaining specific knowledge for the futuure expects, the one area of improvement I really want in the callege is the to makr the end sem paper of standered level.

Internships Opportunities

Internnship opportunities are quite good for CS and IT students but for core branches the scenario is as same as the placements because only 3 companies come for the internship opportunity and they only prefer tech student.

Placement Experience

The placement of the branches like CS, IT are really good and almost most of the student of these branches are got places. But the placement fo core branches are really poor and the student mostly goes for GATE in that scenario.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees per semester is 45,600 rupees but in the first semester you will need to pay 51,000 due to some additional fees along with the admission and caution money, so it makes around 93,000 ruppees yearly. And the students of ST, SC, OBC are getting scholarsships as well.

Campus Life

The Campus life at SGSITS is really enjoyable, there are a lot of greenry and trees in the campus and there are a bunches of cultural socities which makes thhe college life really adventurus and healthy.

Hostel Facilities

First of all the hostel is affordable but the environment in the hostel is not much healthy, because the students in the hostel are continously being consuming alcohol, cigrattes without any hesitation.

Admission

I took admission in this callege because at thattime (in 2021) this was the highest ranked state government colllege of madhya pradesh. I also had the options of takinf admisson in private college but I dropped that idea because of their fees is high as compare to SGSITS Indore.

Faculty

The Faculties are really supportive here todards the learning of student and they are always available for the help of student. Course Structure- 8 Semesters Exam System- Offline Marking Schemes- Total 100:- ( 30 Internal + 70 External)

The college is average from the study and placement perspective but not so good in of extracurricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aim of me to choose these course that I have the interest to get the technical knowlege that how any technical works internally and what the mechanism it follws to work and what algorithm it follws to work and for these specific choise of me to chose these course makes me to choose these course. As the curriculum is not much focused on technical skills rather it is more inclined on theoritical concepts but it gives me the idea about how to get know about any other or the technical skills that we have'nt yet studied in an sequential manner through the theoritical knowledge but I urge to update the syllbus to more incline the curriculum to technical knowledge which gives students an idea of proper real-world applications. The course curriculum is too old now that are being followed by our college given by the university which does'nt matches with the latest technologies and should be improved and updated according to the latest technology and should be more inclined to the technical parts. The time duration of each sem. is for 6 months where the are 4 months of teaching and 1 month of exams and 1 month of break and there are two categories of semester odd and even where odd semester are little bit longes ther the even semester in the time duration.

The placement cell of NRI Group is really very good and they placed students from 7th Semester of engineering and consistently they doing good placements. In NRI Group Of institutions Defence Services Also Serve there placement campaign some of our batchmates are selected indian army, navy respectively. From last year they are eligible to sit for college placements. For off-campus they are eligible from day 1. There are so many big companies like Meta amazon flipkart Infosys etc visited this year. Even the highest package is 1.95 crores. The highest package was 1.95 crores by Shivansh Gupta sir in meta. The average package is 25 lakhs. 100% of students get placed but 10-20 % choose higher studies in foreign.

I applied for IET davv but I kept it as second preference in MP dte counselling. Other options available for me were some IIITs and lower branches in NITs but I wanted to go for IT sector. Now reason for me for choosing this college was it was slight better than iet and slight lower than IIITs but fees of IIITs was very high, So I didn't applied for them. When I applied for sgsits suddenly they increased their fees. I had no option left other than iet or taking sgsits, but in between confusions and dilemma I choosen sgsits by suggestions of relatives and other elders. Admission process is done through MP dte counselling, based on jee mains rank. Cutoff of general category for IT branch is about AIR 45,000. The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed.
