Likes

I like view of the college. it has a pretty big infrastructure and has trees all around.
Fee is little less as compared to my previous schools and colleges.
The teachers are very friendly and nice. not all but most of them

Dislikes

Washroom is really dirty. there's no water. overall cleanliness is very bad. Bathroom condition got me UTI
Teachers are really lazy. They make students work for them.
They have students from out of guwahati. 95% of them are from other villages. And thats why it is irritating to tAlk to them.

I chose this course of electrical engineering because I have always been interested and it was the only college near me. teaching methods will improve when they start teaching regularly. they don't do as much classes only.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 3500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

fee structure is semester wise. It increases every semester by 500rs. Also we have to register for exams. there are exam fees of rs 500. We are given admission merit based. We have counseling. also, based on caste u get seat. if u get low score but are low caste then you get seat quite easily. and then low score but high caste you don't get seat. So that's how. I got seat in the first counseling.

Campus Life

My overall experience with the college is Good. I haven't had much problem here. I have involved myself in different clubs. I am a member of the students council. I work for that council. I help my teachers mostly in computer work. we have smart classrooms. and we have yearly institute week where its like sports week. we compete in different games, dances, songs, quiz, debates and everything. then we have All poly week where all the polytechnic colleges compete with each other.

Admission

I didn't choose this college over other colleges because I have only ever applied to this college. And I got it in the 1st place.admission process is done over online procedure. we fill up the form and give hard copies of our resident proof, marksheets and everything.

Faculty

faculty-to-student ratio in electrical engineering department is 5:42 in our semester. faculty to student relationship is Okay. we can go and talk to them. They are not as intimidating but they are biased towards some no doubt. I don't have a best faculty name because all of them are same. but our HOD is quite knowledgeable that's for sure. when she teaches we understand better. her subject. but as she is busy most of the time we don't get as many classes. and for exams we have end semester examination at the end of every semester and 3 class tests throughout the course and 3 home assignments. Failure is very less because it is not very tough.

Placement Experience:

The placements in regards to the courses are quite high and practically low which certainly depends upon the course the student studying. The availability of jobs for the civil department are quite low as their are high number of students applied for the particular course or in general the unemployed students are more in this particular course due to less jobs . In the increase in electronic industries and semiconductor industries the job availability is quite moderate or high as compared to other courses due to the need of employees. So it certainly depends on the current situation of the jobs and sectors associated with the particular job opted for .

Before the admissions there was an entrance exam held which is known as PAT ( Polytechnic Admission test) which is held between July -August for new batches . After the entrance exams the students cleared go through councelling where the authorities allocate the students preferred the institutes of their choice in regards to their marks obtained . The students fillup the online registration forms with a hardcopy with their birth certificate 10th and 12th marks and if they have studied in some other colleges or schools with a Transfer certificate from that particular college or school .
