- As it's a commerce college, so no. of students are less as compared to other colleges.
- Very less co curricular activities comparing to other colleges.
- There are only two parties prevalent in the college campus i.e NSUI and ABVP.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Exams are moderate for the students which builds their understanding and practical aspects too. The curriculum is okay but should also include present trends in the business sectors such as Digital Marketing, Data Analysts, etc.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided by the college itself with minimum pay of 25000/- per month for the upliftment of the students. Many projects are held on the job training as well as off the job training. Moreover, placements type and work exposure is also provided in the college campus itself through Training and Placement Cell of our college.
Placement Experience
Highest placement of my college is 5.6 lakh per year. Many big companies come here due to the only commerce college in Chandigarh. Companies like Godrej, Infosys, Trident etc. come here to take bcom graduates. 3rd year students are eligible for the placements.Moreover, many internship opportunities are provided by the college with minimum 25000/- package per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
Maximum Total fees = 25000(approx.) Per year Paid in two installments by online mode. Scholarships available for SC/ST EWS with less than 3 lakh annual income. Examination charges 1250/- as charged by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Campus Life
Annual Youth Fest and Annual college feasts are held every year in month of October and March every year. There is a vast range and accessibility of books and journals in the library through online and offline mode. Particularly, ebsco has been cooperated with our college for all the premium journals. Sports and extra curricular are present which include games like Football, Cricketer, Basketball, Chess, Table Tennis , Badminton, Gym etc. in college campus itself. Inter college sports tournament is also held every year. Manu social and environmental clubs are operated in the college like NSS, Anti drug societies, Eco club, Election Literacy Cub etc.
Admission
Admission process is purely online based. Admission form, fee payment, and merit lists for all the colleges in Chandigarh are available online on dhe.chd website. It is easily accessible for all the students rather roaming here and there in every college for admission purposes. Physical counseling is also there at the end if seats are still vacant in the course. Cutoff for bcom goes to 90% above in outside UT Pool and 80% above in UT Pool. However, all this has changed due to nep policy 2024.
Faculty
All the faculty members are highly qualified who either passed UGC NET or UPSC. Mostly professors are PhD holders and the way of teaching is very good. Moreover, PowerPoint presentation also run while teaching and personalized notes are also given by teachers themselves.
