Entrance Preview

I entered this college through mahe manipal exams. I scored 167 marks and got 1833 rank. I opted for manipal bcz i had this as my last choice as i missed my state exam clearance by 4 marks and my parents don't want me to drop.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, 20k per month its good with exposure to 2 govt. hospital and 1 private as well. Our opted are also flooded with all cases.

Placement Experience

4.5

They are fairly good . We can easily get jobs for 50k plus in different states and if we persue our MD/MS after mbbs, more increment is there . there is nothing little placements in our field . You need to show the strength of your 5.5yrs of MBBS knowledge to get a good job and then you can persue your education or stay satisfied.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive and increasing every yr and will be 10 lakh approx in 2017 per yr.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships were there in the past but now no scholarship except top 11 students are and abroad for 1 week free after 3rd yr on basis of their total 2 yr performance.

Exam Structure

9 semester or sessional exam are there and every yr one university exam 4 for 4 yrs . So in total you have to get min 35 percent to qualify in sessional exams and to give university exam and 50 percent in university to pass and promote to next yr.

Faculty

4

Our teachers are really good in teaching clinical as well as academic skills. Some departments are exceptionally good here including anatomy, biochem, path, commed, ent, surgery, medicine the best.

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.
