- I liked the campus atmosphere the library is peacful and great for readers with also feature of online library which I loved the most about it
- I love the canteen the food is average but the location is very good it’s easy to access the canteen and the payment is also reliable
Dislikes
- I personally didn’t liked the hostel and the mess food it’s not healthy but yet it’s average food quality not so good and so bad
- The most I hate is the location of the college it’s near the NH so there are no malls and big entertainment places near it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I chose is civil engineering I got it because I wanted to opt for govt jobs rather than going in technical line so chose it but the faculty influenced me to go and opt for computer science engineering so I got intrest there and I started learning and lot about and now I am trying for govt jobs as well as preparing for it jobs the faculty guide you a lot there are also personal guidance provided in college whom you can ask about career I personally very happy they guided me in a good path I also got good grades after I graduated
Placement Experience
There are placements in the college and also walks in interviews and campus pools the civil placements are quite good like Tata, tech Mahindra, Tata steel and many other ferro alloy companies there are 70% placement chances if you have zero recurring backs during your 8th sem so be prepared and study hard during 6th and 7th sem
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees is divided in 2 Semester each year per semester costs Rs. 31000/- And the year expenses of the hostel is Rs. 14000/- Total per year expenses is around Rs. 76000/- There are scholarships from state govt if you qualify the criteria you will get Rs. 20000/- per year Admission fees is Rs. 5000 Caution fees Rs. 3500 Lab fees Rs. 10000 for 4yrs (btech) Back paper fees Rs. 200 per paper It's affordable for middle class people
Campus Life
This the part that was lacking there are no nearby clubs and party houses there are places you can party but you need a spend a little more and party house is expensive there are college social groups and many are helpful such as green environment green house effect and much more The college also occurs many social programs DJ nights and fun fairs these are the most I enjoyed
Hostel Facilities
The in-house hostel facility is not so good the rooms are small and shared among three but it's heavy fun in hostels The meal quality is average but it's not so good not so bad but there is 4day non veg per week good for people who love eating non veg The hostels are based on marks and qualifications after the 1st year before that you have to live in rented rooms near college which is fairly priced and there is no security The girls get free hostels and no qualification required for them from 1st day of college The pg facilities are not bad but there are different level of fun too
Admission
The admission in done by ojee or jee exams it is a joint exam for all to be college students you require good rank to get admission there is sc st reservation of 30% seats and free hostels for girls the exam is quit easy and yet difficult for admission I suggest to get a good rank and go for civil or electrical engineering without hesitation this college is very good in Odisha
Faculty
The faculty members there are mostly divided in two sections contractual faculty and professors level of permanent the professors level faculty are very kind and helpful they help you a lot including the HODs they are so students friendly you will never feel you're alone or awkward but the contractual faculty are not so good they just do their job they are not bad either but I would say they are not so friendly as compared to the professors
