Entrance Preview

Amity has an entrance exam and rolls out a form for the admission. Students fill the form which is then followed by a written exam and an interview process for selection. I got admission through this process and my interview was conducted with the HOD of 'Amity Institute of Space Science and Technology.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was well designed and focused on all the areas of space research right from basics, along with additional electronics subjects to prepare a base for avionics. The difficulty level increased with the semesters but they have qualified faculties and well equipped labs for deeper understanding of the subjects.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, college provides internship outside for industrial exposure in few good companies. Also, they have an in house internship program for the students which is very informative too. It is a good industrial experience.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement opportunities are present but in private companies. IT companies also come for the placement. All of my classmates are placed in different companies. Few of them are placed in Indian Navy, Army and Air force too which also comes for placement. The placement goes to high figures and minimum salary starts from 4.5 lpa.

College Events

4.5

All the festivals were celebrated on a very huge scale and lots of opportunities and encouragement was given in cultural and sports field. Sangathan is a intercollege sports festival which is organised every year and different department compete against each other in a lot of sports like football, hockey, cricket, tennis, chess, carrom, baseball, volleyball, basketball etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure had a hike of 10% every semester. It was a little over priced.

Fees and Financial Aid

They have a very good scholarship program for different qualification ranging from 50-100% scholarship to encourage the academics. Loan was available too though I did not avail the facility, few of my friends did and it was easy to avail. They have banks inside the premises.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is good. Just like any other place. Girls are encouraged to participate in all the sports as much as boys. There is unity and one has immense opportunities to learn about different cultures.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are too good and hostel are managed very neatly and with great hygiene. They regularly had firedrills, medicine was sprayed for insects, washrooms and lobbies and rooms were cleaned on regular basis.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are. I am in touch with all my faculties and they still guide me through my problems.

Exam Structure

There are mid term exams between every semesters and then final semester exams take place at the end. Lab exams get over before the theory exams start at the end of the semester. Mid terms usually take place in a pattern such as 2 exams in a day, and difficulty level of the exams are managed by professors. It is a little hectic. Labs are always scheduled at the end of the day for 2 hour sessions. So, it was not too hectic, not too chilled out either. Depended a lot on the faculty and nature of experiments.

Faculty

4

The faculties were experienced, well qualified and very supportive. HOD was a alumni of ISRO and all of them had working experience in space and defence fields. It was an honour and great learning to be taught by them.

I had interest in chemistry & zoology so i wanted to pursue B.Sc for my graduation There were no trouble for admission & no strict rules and regulations of policies Infrastructure i would recommend them to ask authority to work on the amenities & resources and better environment with modernized methodologies of teaching with electronic aid will automatically improve the quality of education Frequency of exams were fine and it was pretty average level any average student can learn and write answers with understanding of topics
