Excellent Academic Experience

The college has a very good reputation and placement record and also encourages student participation in various competitions and events. With latest methods of teaching and great professors and course structure the students gain a lot of theoretical as well as practical knowledge. It also provides Industrial exposure to students and has multiple startups within the campus.

I took KCET Examination in 2014 and scored 110 marks and got into information science stream as computer science was booming back in those days and also i always had a fascination about computers.

The course curriculum has various subjects which meet the current day requirement such as Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Web Development, Mobile Computing etc . We worked on various projects as a part of course and this gave us an insight about the industry and the technology used therein. We were encouraged to participate in various hackathons, idea pitching contests.

Yes, college provides students with internship opportunities in the last semester i.e. 8th semester wherein students get industrial experience. Students are also encouraged to do an internship in 6th semester vacations at any startups or any companies by applying on their own. The stipend various with company and ranges from 10k - 30k.

The college has around 30-40 companies visiting the campus every year and recruiting in large number. Around 500-600 students are offered jobs every year from various departments. Some of the major companies visiting the campus are Robert Bosch, Walmart, Amagi, Juniper, Akamai, Sony, Mercedes and Applied Materials with packages from 3 LPA to 14 LPA.

The college hosts Pleiades , a national level technical fest which has various colleges around karnataka participating in it. The event consists of Workshops, Technical Events and fun events. Terranaut a robot making event is a very famous event. Many college around this part of the state visit the college for multiple events. Events such as PUPA encourage student to build and sell a product and Butterfly program gives students a platform to pitch in their business plan.The college hosts cricket event KLE T20 every year.

The fee structure is standard and it is around 50k per year for KCET and 1.5 lakh for the COMEDK students which is feasible. The college provides books to students every year from the LSWA students welfare association and also has a large library and labs which can have around 50 students at once and also a Centre for Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship(CTIE) and Sports section which has table tennis and badminton and huge ground.

Various scholarships are available to students such as e pass by karnataka government based on the academic scores above 70% or 7.75 CGPA there are serveral other scholarship programs from MHRD.

The college has a huge 53 acres campus with two canteens and the gender ratio varies with branches with fewer boys in computer science and fewer girls in the mechanical stream whereas there is a balance when the whole college is taken into consideration. The students of robotics department have developed Humanoid Robot Ajit 1.0 and have participated in National level events such as Hybrid Vehicle Challenge, Ecokart and Supra SaeIndia. Students have participated in various sports at National and International level sports and games in Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball and Cricket.

The college has seperate girls and boys hostel and can accomodate around 1000 students. The hostels provide students with good food and also each room has either 3 or 4 students in it. There are seperate cupboards for each student. The hostel rent is 30000 per year along with mess bill which varies every month.

Seniors were of great help especially when it comes to choosing relevant project ideas and also helped us in organizing various events and contributed a lot to our success and growth. Some of the recognisable alumnus include Sudha Murthy, Vivek Kulkarni and S. R. Hiremath.

The college has 2 internals and lab evaluation is done every alternate week based on the topics covered. The internal marks and the project contribute 50% marks and the remaining is based on the Semester end examination. The project and assessment marks is 10% and the internals contribute 40% marks. Examination covers various topics and the applications of technology and makes students cope up with new technology in a faster manner.

The admission process is simple and also students details are entered into their student portal based on the details filed in the forms provided to the student at the time of admission. The KCET fees can be paid via DD. The institutional fee challan will be issued by college which has to be paid in the bank within campus.

College has well qualified faculty and also they encourage students to learn with practical knowledge by asking them to try out different activities and projects are also evaluated which motivates students to learn more about the course. We have individual assessments and lab sessions wherein students are evaluated and also projects exhibitions to showcase the talent of students.
