Likes

College atmosphere is good, great infrastructure
Academics are great and good option for people opting for private
Teaching faculty is also good and good administration

Dislikes

Too many rules and regulations to be followed
No of patients traffic is less and some departments have no cases
College freedom is not present strict discipline

Course Curriculum Overview

Current CBME curriculum has competencies which are to be taught. More emphasis is been given on AETCOM which deals with personality of upcoming doctors. Exams are conducted on a regular intervals and mode of difficulty is moderate

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 1250000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

A cat students pay government fees whereas b cat students pay nearly 12 lakhs every year for 5 years. And then there's c cat where students pay almost 1.5 crores for 5 years course. Scholarships are given to students

Campus Life

Holidays are pretty rare in the college officially you get only 8 days holidays. Books can be accessed through central library in college. Class rooms have big screen and monitor. Equal importance is given to both sports and clubs and other extr curricular activities

Admission

Admission Process was smooth and need to pay security cheques for 5 years in advance fees and i did not avail any reservation benifits as I was a general cat student. Exams are conducted at regular intervals with moderate difficulty

Faculty

The strength of faculty is sufficient and they and vey flexible and can approach them whenever free. Each department on an average has 5 to 6 faculty members. Our college follows strict mentor mentee program which is necessary for development

The life of a medico in a government medical college

Placement Experience:

There is no such thing as campus placement in medical courses.. we are provided with internship with the linked hospital with an approximate stipend of 30k per month for a year and after that we receive the course completion certificate and we can either practice in a clinic or pursue the post graduation upon our interests..

Yearly one final with practicals and 3 internals which are easy one if you study moderate ly also .

A Glimpse into Excellence: Review on Andhra Medical College, Vizag

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only.Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.

we have to visit our hospital from 1st year of college, and we start interacting with patients from 1st year onwards, up to 4th year we are practicing in our college and after that, we have to do an internship in our hospital only all qualified students which pass all the prof exams can do the internship, after the internship I will go for higher studies.

About Asram medical college

I choose this college because the studies in this college is very good and exposure of clinical knowlege also and has vast library named ABDUL KALAM CENTRAL library and and has very good book collection.we have crack NEET exam to get into this coarse.
