Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is well chosen according to our semester but the teachers in tech languages are not that good. The test is helpful frequently there are class assignments, mid-term and end-term. the class assignments are held every 3 weeks there are class assignments we have to give in which they select the best two-term and questions are sometimes gate-level.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Till now I am in 2 nd year and currently focusing on my skills so I haven't registered myself for any internship yet. As I am a data science student I have completed Excel projects, last year we were given to make a website.

Placement Experience

2.5

In 6th semester we are eligible for campus placement and internship. The highest package is like 50 lacks only to a student who is very extraordinal the average package is 7-8 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are a kind of blur right now but yeh I want to start my career as soon as possible.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is 120000 but there is a test LPU NEST and through this test, we get the scholarship. Overall it costs nearly 3lakh to 4 lakh per year without the scholarship. there are 3 types of scholarships 15%,25%, and 35% according to the marks we get the scholarships. We just need to have a clear concept of classes 11th and 12th.

Campus Life

4

My overall experience is amazing there are many extracurricular activities held in which we can participate there is DSW where we can explore and choose the things we like as our hobbies. There is a swimming pool, and gym facilities .concerts are held like only last year have attended Sunidhi Chauhan's concert which was so thrilling and exciting. If we talked about library there is a huge library in which all our academic books are present and we could issue them for one week but after that, if didn't return them there is also a fine the facilities and technology provition first there are ac classroom ,there are labs in which we are taken for our practical classes and we practice on them if we talk about sports we can participate in any sports according to our interest there is NCC,nss in which students participate and contribute and also get the certificate after completing you just need get yourself into dsw -devision of student welfare

Hostel Facilities

4

The facilities that are provided in hostels are one chair and table, they provide curtains for our rooms and a half-sized cupboard. If we talk about meal quality the mess is good and the menu is also good but keeps repeating every week so sometimes you can get bored and they are like every week they ask or take reviews if you like the mess or not and if students are not liking the food they always improve. For registration, you need to go to ums-residential services-hostel booking and there you can book both mess and hostel.

Admission

I want to pursue my career in computer science but I also need great exposure infrastructure and facilities provided by the college, the security system for girls. when I first came to LPU, I was actually like a different place, people from different states and countries could be seen. then there is induction in which they tell us about our four-year plan.

Faculty

4

There are 70 students in one batch it actually doesn't impact the learning experience. It all depends on the teachers some teachers actually care about their students genuinely and they want their students to grow and pursue their goals they will notice you interact with you and try to bring out the best in you. and some don't care about they just come to complete their syllabus but most of the teachers will help you if you know how to make them help you

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
