Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our curriculum is quite interesting as we are studying ba+llb so we get to study 2 types of subjects firstly bachelor of arts and with that, till 3rd year we study law subjects which make us feel very interesting. Our curriculum is good it prepares us with real-world applications and further academic pursuits they make us study very well for exams. The teachers need to improve the area for example they should make us study for our competitive exams which will the beneficial for the students and they will also not waste their time in going to institutions.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Our internship is held in the courts we vet to work with designated advocates which make us learn many new things we get to know about different approaches. We also get to visit jail where we see the criminals we read there files and see what crime they have committed which punishment is being charged onto them.

The fees of our college for 1 semester is 47000 and 2 semester is 15000 so total comes up with 70,000 approximately and it is the complete fees that is for 1 year. And students with category sc/st are provided with the scholarship schemes they get fund from the government. It is the financial help which is provided to the weaker students in our college.

Our hostel are very beautifully designed by the architecture we have got a room which is 2 seater i live here with my friend. The meal which we are getting in the hostel is very goid it is quite tasty and healty. The hostel total fees of a year is 73000 which is affordable because there are facilities in the hostel.

Admission

The admission process at khalsa college is that you have to participate in the counseling process which is conducted by guru nanak dev university under this university manu colleges come so the preference should be filled by students and the selected students are called by the faculty members to college with there documents verification and hence after verification fees are being submitted and we get admitted in the college. The benefit is to sc/st students they get scholarships.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are higly well experienced they have taught to different universities and colleges and they had also pursued with there phd which make them extra ordinary teachers. They take lots of efforts to make us study so that we can secure good marks in our exams and help the students at the earliest. They have experience of 5-6 years in guru nanak dev university amritsar and Punjab university chandigarh and easily we can approach to our teacher's as they are always available to us and help us in every field whether its personal or related to studies.

Law and arbitration firms and mostly from Delhi as it is the bed of law. AZB, Khaitan & Co, Cyril Amarchand and others probably the ones which most students are placed. Trilegal too has recently partnered with out college and every year 20 students are invited to intenr with them from our university.

Around 60% students only gets direct placements from our college as ratio I hope gets better because as a top tier NLU i still feel the placements are still not that great. I hope that by the time our time comes ratio is 100% because after the judgement of 3 years practice for judiciary, I think it is inevitable to have a job.

Khaitan & Co., Maheshwari and Co and likewise many such companies came for placements as it's the law firm that provides us placements and give good salary like 50-70k in general. However, internships matters a lot as most students performance at their internships are reviewed thoroughly.

Placement Experience:

The placement system isn't great. They have tried to get some students placed in the last five years and every batch has barely 5 to 10 placements out of 120 students. Yes, some companies do come, but they're very biased towards the people who are top three top five in the class and they don't really care about the other 100 people who want to get placed so you have to Get a job on your own

Placement Experience:

The placement scene is bad as compared to top NLUs students can start as early as possible to fetch an internship that can turn into a preplacement offer. Students do not need to wait for college placement as it is not reliable and is not a very lucarative package. The salary package starts from 6 lakh and the average package can be anywhere between 10 to 12 lacs and the highest package by PO and forms generally is around 21 to 22 lacs. Student can work in law firms, in house, Chambers, public policy research forums, centres, media houses, etc Around 30% of the student get placed due to pre placement offers and college campus placements A lot of the students who are not placed prepared for competitive exams like UPSC Judiciary Jag. I plan to prepare for competitive exams too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college is highly affordable with not much hike in the fees over the past years. It is quite near to my house and within the city. The college provides hostel facilities and bus pass to students travelling from far The course makes you legal literate and aware of the legal world . With 15-20days of internship in district court in last 2 years of the college it shows the reality of the court life. No placement- The college should provide information along with opportunities of placements. The campus being quite small - Teacher easily focuses on each student . Semester system- The university conducts exams every 6months yhat are quite easy to clear.
