Remarks

the management part is a little not on students side. The people tend to have less sympathy for the students when it comes to attendance or exam related issues. paying fees and getting official works done is a little tedious work in the college.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college because this is considered the best college for commerce in the entire state. since I had to stay in the city, this was the best option I could opt for. Besides, the college timings are very convenient. you can easily manage your side courses if you are taking any.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

the course curriculum is quite good and easy to deal with. you do not have to spend too much of time into studies to score good marks in the college. you can just be attentive in class and you will know all the things you need to study to get good marks.

Internships Opportunities

No, my college does not provide internships as far as I know. in my department i.e. commerce there are no such internships.

Placement Experience

2

the placements and job opportunities are not so good for my department. After completing your bachelors from this college you cannot get a very good job opportunity. very few placements happen. others prefer going for master degrees first. Just 2-3 companies came for placement in my batch.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fee structure is feasible. For general students in my batch, it was 13000 + 12000 + 10000 for three years. besides, you have to pay examination fee which is 500 per semester and other petty charges. It's not very expensive as compared to other colleges and courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

no i do not know about any scholarship or loan facility that my college provides. these details can be collected from www.sxcran.org which is the official website of the college.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is very huge and beautiful. they take special care for the cleanliness of the college so that's one good thing about it. the gender ratio is almost equal. actually, it defers from course to course. for example, the commerce department has more girls, building construction department has more boys, fashion technology has more girls and so on. but the overall ratio is almost equal. Debates and competition happen frequently and its good as the competition is good.

Alumni/Alumna

I did not seek Alumni help for anything in my college life so I cannot comment on that. although there were no cases of ragging and all that in the campus. my seniors were cooperative and helpful.

Exam Structure

exam structure is pretty good and easy. you have options to answer your question. you get 10 questions for every subject and you need to answer any 5 of those. every question consists of 20 marks and you need to write at least 3 pages for every answer. To get good marks here, quantity matters more than quality.

Admission

firstly, your percentage in 12th should be 70% or more. second, you have to appear for an entrance exam which asks questions based on 12th syllabus mostly. the exam will be multiple choice questions and there will be 100 questions that you need to answer. based on this test, they will release merit list which will decide your admission and also which batch you get, i.e. morning or evening.

Faculty

3.5

The commerce faculties are really good when it comes to teaching. especially the accountancy faculties. they will guide you in the best possible way. All the facilities of this college are very rigid about the attendance. 75% means 75%. they will not consider even the genuine reasons which are one drawback of being in Xaviers.

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

Remarks:

This college is near to my home and have good reputation in commerce. Its a renowned college for commerce. The fees is also very less here. The maximum fees here is 2000 yearly. There is no need for entrance exam here if you want to join UG or PG. But you have to give entrance for vocational courses. For entrance you should have just scored 60-70% in your previous board exam. This is the most driving factor to take admission here.
