Remarks

I would say the college is best suited for those who want to finish there graduation in a hassle free manner but with good and quality education at the reasonable price. however there is scope for the management to improve a bit in terms of processing of documents...otherwise all well

Entrance Preview

I always wanted to get into a place where the quality of education is up to the mark. The college is just apt for those who belong to middle class families and are in search of budget colleges that provide worthy education at a reasonable fees and also help building a prospective career. In short this is a perfect choice for those who want to complete their graduation in a hassle free manner at a reasonable fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is the one set by university- kolhan university. We had 2 honours papers in each year for first and second years and 4 honours papers in last year. The best part wag the approach of our professors towards studies and their teaching methodologies which were very convenient for us to relate and understand.

Internships Opportunities

No. As far as I know in our commerce stream since there was no requirement of any internship, so no internships were provided to us by the college.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements are not too high in case of bcom or BSC streams. However in case of students of mba, proper and nice placement opportunities were available. Even in our case, few placement opportunities such as I'm just dial Ltd and other local firms were provided to us.

College Events

4.5

There were many events conducted for different departments. However for he commerce section, there used to be the 'sanyog' fest held every year where the students had the chance to interact with various local firms that set up stalls and provided career counseling advice. Also the yearly felicitation ceremony to honour the top students and teachers was common.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very much feasible. At my session the admission charges were 3500 for b.com(h). Followed by yearly exam fees of around 400-500. Also during exams if final year a separate fees of around 1100 was charged for providing the documents such as CLC and other required ones.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided for distinction securing candidates. Like those scoring high marks in 12. However loan facility is not there.

Campus Life

3

Campus life was actually fun. There would be masses of people loitering around during breaks. Talking about the gender ratio.. it was almost even.. there was no bias in case of girls or boys infact the number of girls seemed pretty good than other colleges.. labs were not required in our case except for the computer ones which were satisfactory. Debates and quizzes were held annually during the teachers day celebration done by the students which were pretty good.

Hostel Facilities

3

This wasn't too good. The canteen wasn't not upto the mark. However in our college campus there used to be a very familiar tea shop selling snacks which used to be a relief. So for food I would like to give 6 out of 10. But anyways it was pretty good .

Alumni/Alumna

Seriously speaking, I passed out in 2017 so I haven't had any touch with any other senior student or alumni. So can't talk abt that.

Exam Structure

In our case, the exam structure was yearly. The first year exams were held in around aug. Second year exams were in July of the respective years and the finals were completed by April of 2017. Schedule of exams were finalized by the Kolhan University. However regular internals was conducted by a college to keep pace for the students.

Admission

Admission was provided through merit list decided on the basis of the marks scored in 12th results. I scored 92% marks and headed for bcom(h). I went to college ti get the application form. A minimum cutoff of around 85% was required for admission and thankfully I had such marks. So my name was there in the first list. Afterwards on the date of admission by submitting my SLC and required document along with the fees I got through in the college

Faculty

4

I am very much satisfied with all the faculties of our college from whom I had the opportunity of studying. Apart from the curriculum., Our professors also motivated us to do much more in life. Specially our tax professor Mr.Singh who was real gem of a person.

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

Remarks:

This college is near to my home and have good reputation in commerce. Its a renowned college for commerce. The fees is also very less here. The maximum fees here is â?¹2000 yearly. There is no need for entrance exam here if you want to join UG or PG. But you have to give entrance for vocational courses. For entrance you should have just scored 60-70% in your previous board exam. This is the most driving factor to take admission here.
