Remarks
I really think RAIT is one of the better colleges in Mumbai region. It has everything to offer to an individual from different prospects. You will never get tired of sitting idle somewhere in the campus & only looking at its sheer beauty and the brilliance it offers to many. Absolutely loved this place and people here.
Entrance Preview
I wanted to get my degree in Electronics as I had 12th vocational background & personal interest attached to it. I studied electronics for 2 years in my junior college. And wanted to make use of that knowledge in engineering so its there on my list of colleges to apply. Also, RAIT is well known and among the reputed colleges in Mumbai.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was designed & structured by Mumbai University to which the college is affiliated. And It could have been better in terms of selectivity. Also, some subjects from other branches would have expanded our knowledge. AI & Machine learning sort of curriculum is the need of an hour.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are usually not part of the University curriculum though I was very fortunate enough to have completed one during my semester break. Though you can still apply for a part-time internship if that doesn't affect your attendances.
Placement Experience
Placements are usually better considering other colleges in the vicinity. Almost 80% ++ of the students got placed of my batch that too during the recession had hit the market. But mostly IT sector companies you will get to see in the placements season & Average CTC offered was around 3.15 Lakhs. Overall good return on investment.
College Events
RAIT is known for its festivals and international concerts that to be held in DY Patil Stadium ie, of course, the showstopper in the campus. Horizon is one major event in the month of March. Besides that other Socio cultural as well as technical events usually happens every semester. And it's really crazy being there every single night during those festive days. FUN.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible at least when I was graduated & the end ROI proves it. Infrastructure wise it is good. Now it must have higher than our times. So the ROI factor would generally be depreciated because of that. Given that there is no significant growth in pay packages offered during placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are to be given to ranker students & some other industrial scholarships you can apply offline or through college admin.
Campus Life
Everything is great. The campus is not just beautiful but also magnificent with the presence of an international stadium. Gender ration is fine. Diversity is great and you will surely make new friends. The labs are well equipped, the sports committee is there to arrange/manage every sporting event on the campus. RAIT is known for its tech events & I was one the event heads so the buzz is tremendous. This is the campus where one would love to spend his/her 4 years & they will surely miss post graduating from it.
Hostel Facilities
The college doesn't have hostel facility so the one who has come from another part of the country need to search/work it out on their own. Canteen food is good. Yeah still good. Plus you have various cafes in the campus. So food wouldn't be a problem.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the alumni network is very strong and spread across the globe. One can easily get in touch with their seniors/juniors over social platforms anytime. Yes
Admission
I gave my MH CET exam and scored 133. So through the centralized admission process, I got RAIT as my engineering college. The process is quite hectic but in the end, eventually, it all settles down especially when you have RAIT. College also has some institute level seats which can be alloted as per college merit list.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is good and most of them have their Masters degrees from reputed colleges in the country. Junior/ Assistant professors are generally the ones who are also completing their masters. Some really good teachers and lab assistants make this college worth going studying for.
