Remarks

Good remarks are many as I have told in above all questions. The only thing is hostels are pretty strict and there are restrictions on the timing you have to get in though Saturday is an exception by an hour or so

Entrance Preview

Platform VIT provides is great. VIT has all those resources ( tools, software, boards) which a student needs to grow, the student can explore in any area being there given student is also hardworking. and the very important thing is placement record is also very good

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is really very good and inspired by a few top institutes across the world. VIT VLSI has courses that the industry wants a student to learn and once a student is out of VIT he is ready for industry. They always add courses according to what's going on in the industry

Internships Opportunities

Yes, every year many companies visit campus and provide internships to students for a year or 8 months. Being in VLSI student get a chance to work with big MNCs like Intel, AMD, Texas Instruments and if student performs well gets converted too. The stipend should be around 25k per month

Placement Experience

4

The placement is very good. In the last few years, it's even better and all core companies do visit campus. In my experience, almost all gets a job from campus. More than 60 to 70 percent should get in core companies and the rest should get in software industries. It comes under elite institutes and hence beneficial when it comes to placement

College Events

4

There are 2-3 major events that happen in college. Riviera is the major gathering which happens every year. With a lot of fun, the 3-day event takes place, where few famous artists from around the world will be seen performing. Also, student perform not only from VIT but also from other colleges do come and perform

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are not much in my thoughts. It is reasonable. I had paid around 4.5Lakhs for 2 years of a complete education, food, hostel. Which is quite reasonable. Only college fees are around 1.5 lakhs per annum and the rest is for hostel and food. And if you get an internship they will refund you for food and hostel as well

Fees and Financial Aid

You get a scholarship if you have cleared the GATE exam with a good score. Total 6 students from each branch based on their merit in GATE gets a scholarship of 8000 around. The loan you can take form SBI or some other bank, you should get it easily

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is super awesome, the infrastructure is amazing and I was fallen in love with that. The gender ratio is reasonable you get to see some number of both sexes on campus. For sports, you have all facilities but sometimes paid. labs are very well equipped

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are good not every block though. Newly constructed free blocks are really good and give a 5-star experience. Mess food is okay. In the last semester of my 2 years course but was tired of it and used to go out for dinner every day. But overall food quality is not so bad

Alumni/Alumna

Yes so VIT VLSI arranges every year ALUMNI meet in Bangalore where we get to gather and talk about what's going on in Industry and how can it help curriculum. And we are connected with the professor even after 3 years

Exam Structure

You have CAT exams every month or two months, and semester exam every 6 months along with lab exams. You have to do the project for each subject and have to complete them in the given timeline. labs are pretty serious at least about VLSI I know and you have to complete experiments in a given timeline with quality

Admission

I had given an exam called VITmee. In time I had secured rank AIR 147. Then I was gone for counseling to VIT Vellore. There I had got few choices about branches and I chose to take VLSI division. I had to submit 10000 checks for confirmation along with documents

Faculty

3

The faculty is very good mostly Ph.D. (completed or persuing) professors. Though always all are not the same when it comes to teaching the kind of material they provide and try to educate is awesome. They are fully aligned with what's going on outside in industries which are the best part

Admission:

I appeared for VITMEE exam for Post graduate admission. I qualified the exam and was invited for the admission process. The whole admission procedure was very simple, guided and systematic. The slot (date and time) was allotted for counseling round where you have to reach to the nearest VIT campus. There you are called rank wise for counseling and asked to select the specialization branch in which you intend to get admitted. You can see the Realtime availability of the seats for all the courses during counseling session. The seats for each course are divided in sections based on tuition fees. The section with least tuition fees gets occupied first. Then the formalities regarding the hostel and mess are completed. The hostel room will be allotted as per availability and your preference of choices.
