Remarks

Good remarks: 1. Efforts taken by the staff 2. Importance to cultural activities Bad remarks: 1. No/less placement opportunities 2. Not value for money 3. Bad canteen facility 4. Old equipments

Entrance Preview

As I had done diploma course, i need not give any entrance exam. The admission was wholly on the basis of Marks of Diploma final year. There are 50% seats available for Students bringing to Jain religion, and reddy of the seats are filled according to government regulations.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college is under the Solapur university, which is having around only 10-13 engineering colleges. talk about the course of mechanical engineering I think it should be updated. As the course does not include the latest syllabus like CNC programming, advanced manufacturing processes.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college usually provided the internships. The college is having tie up either internshala.com to carry out these activities. Teaching opportunity is also provided to the students I have recently completed their master's degree.

Placement Experience

2

Yes the college usually provided the placement opportunities, but in recent years the no.s have gone down. In the year 2018 the college was not able to bring any core company of mechanical engg (may be due to market setback). But talking about the soft branches, it did well to attract the IT companies.

College Events

4

In all there are few events celebrated but are grand scale events. WITChar is the events in which there are different kinds of the completions. These competitions of state level. Different departments are having different competitions. Another event is WITness. It is a magazine of the college which include write-ups , poems, pics, achievements, of the students at various platforms.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As my title suggests, the fees are really high. Especially for the open category. The fees for my batch was around ?1,08,000. Which I think is very expensive considering the facilities given. 1. There is no any good Canteen 2. Library is also small, which is not air conditioned. 3. Workshop machines are old 4. No Bus facility. Very less placements

Fees and Financial Aid

As per my knowledge there is no such scholarship facility or the loan facility offered by the college. The college is quite strict in the terms of fees collection. They only take whole fees at a time. We are not allowed to pay the fees in parts.

Campus Life

3

When compared with the colleges in the nearby area the campus life is really good. The gender ratio is similar to that of other colleges in India. For extra curricular activities you have to approach to the staff else nobody will ask you will not even come to know that some event has happened.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility is good. It has the rooms for accommodation of 2 members. It costs around ? 35000 per person per year. It not include mess charges. You have to pay charges of mad separately. Hot water is available as it had solar water heaters.

Alumni/Alumna

The reputation of the college was really good as it is the amongst the oldest colleges. The senior students are nie ast the very good position in the whatever firm they are working with. They also help students by mentoring.

Exam Structure

The exam structure quite good enough. It is very easy to find your respective block. The attachments are really good. During the exam they also provide you water into the hands. The question papers are in the sets of ABCD or PQRS. There is no online exam separately to be passed as like of Pune University.

Admission

I got the admission to this college via CAP rounds. This means Centralized Admission Process. I got this college in the first round itself. After you go to the college you will be helped in every manner of the admission procedure. You need to carry your original documents along with the 2 sets of arrested copies.

Faculty

4

I would appreciate the efforts taken by the faculty of the college in providing and imparting the knowledge. There is higher skilled and experienced staff over there. But there are some of the new members who are not having proper experience and teaching skills.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
