Remarks

College management is good. But some ppl are very arrogant. overall I will give 4/5 stars to the college.

Entrance Preview

The college is the only Technological University in India. At our time it was the government autonomous college. And the cut off was really low because of its location. The college reviews were good and one of my friend cum senior was they're doing mechanical engineering suggested me the college with my low jee score.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The syllabus designed for computer engineering is similar to that of the IIT's and NIT's. We get the notes from teachers as well, DBATU has the biggest library in Maharashtra. Books and ebooks are provided. Recently the college is working on the internett where a user can directly access the course videos on mobile.

Internships Opportunities

No, till our batch, college does not provide internships. But if you got any, the college will permit you to do so and you have to come for exams only. I was doing one at the start of the final year.

Placement Experience

4

The placement for comp and it is better, for chemical and petrochemical it's good and for other negligible.for our batch..14 of the batch of 60 are placed in the month of September only. The TNPC are working very hard to get placements. And in future, it will be on the top.

College Events

4

College mainly celebrates SHIVJAYANTI and CYNOSURE. As the college is in Raigad district, we celebrate the shivjayanti with great enthusiasm. CYNOSURE is the Technical Festival of the TECHNOLOGICAL university. ABHIYANT VASANT is the gathering activity of the university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Government autonomous. The fee structure is feasible. But they are increasing university development fees every year. They charge 26000 for the open student as the university development fees. The fees for a year was 64000 and for obc, it was 29000 and for sc and St 1500-4000 something.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. But you can apply for loan at any bank and for sure they will approve your request. College provides all the scholarships provided by the government. like EBC, FREESHIP etc.

Campus Life

5

The boy's girls ratio is 2:1. Students are from various regions of MAHARASHTRA. And very few are from J&K and other states. Every department has their own labs fully equipped. There is a sports ground which is only open in winters and summers. CYNOSURE contains all the robotic events. And ABHIYANTA VASANT has all the debates and literature competitions.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is quite good. The mess food quality s increasing day by day. There are 4-5 hostels for boys and girls. Sahyagiri for 1st yr boys. And Gagangiri for senior boys. Dhawalgiri for 1st and 2nd yr girls and Makaygiri for senior girls. Each hostel has its own mess. And food is good for girls hostel as compared to boys.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni and seniors are very helpful and in contact with the college. Every department has its own alumni team and we have alumni meet every 2 years.

Exam Structure

For our batch. We were having 2 unit tests each of 15 marks and semester exam of 70 marks for each subject. The practical exams have a submission of files and practical implementation. There is viva for each subject. And file submission. Project reports and project submission is done at the end of the semester.

Admission

First of all, we have to fill the DTE application. After first provisional allotment of cap round 1, I got extc engineering, but in the final allotment got the computer engineering. I filled the challan and submitted fees in the college account. Then visited the college to take admission. The admission process was done in the conference hall.

Faculty

4.5

The teaching staff is very friendly and available for 24*7. They always try to solve the problem of students at any time and any place. Even the permanent staff, head of departments are also cooperative and supportive to students actions. but the non-teaching staff is very arrogant mainly the student section ppl and the guards.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
