Actually my branch was civil engineering. I liked my branch so much because it was my childhood dream to become an engineer. And civil branch fulfilled mt dream. But the curriculum and way of teaching I think it is old

As i am an 4th year student looking for placement as I am in civil engineering branch but my college is offering me placement in Accenture which is an it sector . So i hope for good company whether it is it or civil.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees is per semester appric 50k. The total fee will be 4lakhs but Is also provide scholarship and reservation for the domicile students of west bengal. I think it gives worth value as the fee of college is 4 lakhs and average package is 4 lakhs

Campus Life

The college provides sports just like cricket football match. Volleyball, basketball and every year it conducts tournament and regular matches . There are many teams .every branch have their particular team

Admission

The admission process is conducted through you jee mains exam score or wbjee west bengal joint entrance exam. You can also take admission by management quota or by donation fees .the admission is conducted by counselling

The faculty are experienced and very good the minimum qualification of the faculty are masters in technology (mtech). And highest as far as phd and other extra Courses. Or skills thats any professor have .

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

HIT HALDIA - AT A GLANCE

Okay, I've applied for 2-3 colleges(IEM Kolkata, Heritage Institute of Technology kolkata, Techno India Main Saltlake) alongwith HIT Haldia. But I choose this college because of mainly two reasons- 1)This is near my hometown. 6-7 km away from my house 2)My some school seniors are also studied here so they said me to take admission here Yes I've got rejection from many colleges also because my WBJEE and JEE main ranks are not so good. But I was selected to take admission i some colleges also but I didn't make that because of expensive fee structure and poor placements. Admission process of my college is not that much complicated for Regular admission like through WBJEE and JEE Mains.
