Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to do a major in computer application, hence this course. But i feel like the curriculum is a bit out dated and doesn't make you fit for corporate. But compared to other college where they follow very old curriculum ,our is nep so it's much better. An improvement should be, being able to make the student ready for the real world by teaching latest and evolving tech. Much of the things we study are of very less to no use. We have 2 internal exams every sem and a sem exam every 6 months
Placement Experience
You become eligibility only after 5th sem for campus placements. Placements offered are quite good. The highest package I've heard someone got was around 8-9 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed is much less compared to the actual no of students. Id like to do an MBA after the completion of my course
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee for bca is around 70k for regular and 90k for courses with specialization. The fee structure remains the same for all the courses. This is the yearly fees im talking about. The complete cost of education adds up to 2,73,000 rupees, and extra if youbare opting for hostel facilities . There isn't much scholarship or financial aids provided. The campus placement are quite good and some of my seniors have been placed into very good companies. Im an active members of the student council so i take up some responsibilities for most events and their coordination.
Campus Life
The campus life is quite good after you've been in the college for some time. Annual festivals like Elysian (march) which is a national level cultural competition held in the college, utkarsh(college day, sep), rangostav (feb), sangamothsav (aug), and ethic days and other minor events. All library materials are accessible bit id like if they make their inventory much broder. Many labs are avaliable and library also provides e materials. Sports events happen once a year and can go upto a week. We have fifa certificate turf along with 2 basketball courts, 2 volleyball courts, 3 indore badminton courts, 1 full size football ground, 1 swimming pool, gym, skating court and other minor games like table tennis. No there aren't any student run clubs apart from so bands and choir.
Admission
Eligibility for the courses is 12th pass. I applied through the college website. I dont know much about the cut off. Application fees was around 400 rupees. And after Application once you get shortlisted you get a mail for interview where they ask some questions from school and then some qustions to understand you better. Application was fairly uncomplicated. We have 2 CIAs(continues internal assessment) in a sem and a main sem exam every 6 months at the end of every sem. I'd like them to make the admission process much stricter to keep the locals from getting admission, the degrade the college standard a lot.
Faculty
The faculty to students ration in our college is quite good, and most of the professors including hod's are very friendly and approachable. Yet there are some bad faculties but the good ones outweigh them by a lot. Faculties are very well educated and fit for their positions. Interaction with teacher are quite good as take them more like as friends than teachers.
